LOL. So I am finding out. I had always assumed that when windows booted from that other drive, that would become drive "C", but I guess you can set it to be different. Never had occasion or reason to do so.

Which is of course decimal for one of the 0xC000000xx errors the kernel uses.
Actually turns out to be STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT for all the use that is.
As I said, the exact same install on WIndows on drive C succeeds.

Compiled as 32-bit, trying to load on a 64-bit OS (or vice-versa)? Generally that's the sort of thing this particular message is trying to say.

This is an error BUILDING the driver. VS2017 clearly can not find the WDK when Windows, it and the WDK are not installed on the D drive.

Dunno man...just throwing ideas.
Maybe Process Monitor (from Sysinternals) could reveal what it's looking for, and where it's looking (which would result in a failure). Or maybe you've established that already.
More and more, it seems that if you deviate from a "standard" install (whatever that means), things break. Not a good trend for sure.

While I agree that the AmigaOS is still the superiour product, it proved to be too complex for a casual user. OS/2 warp died because no-one wanted to move to a weird platform, and IBM did not want to make it compatible with Windows apps. Soo, we kinda stuck with a Windows.

Hi All,
I think at some point we have all experienced it. The Dilbert of the Day calendar the Sunday just gone is horribly relevant to the beast I am working on at the moment. I swear Scott Adams is on the project I am. The best part is a Consultant who is over seeing the project has taken it and placed it on the software leads desk!

Just wanted to know from experienced parents if Son or daughter dynamics change as they grow up.
I have a daughter, who is now 11 spends more time with her friends and in social media. She comes to me or have a serious talk only when she has a problem that needs to be solved or she gets bored with internet. The only good time I really have daily is the 15 mins drive to drop her at school. That's when she jokes, makes fun or torments to upgrade the car.
Do boys too behave in a similar manner?

Yes, for a few years. But my eldest will be 50 this year and he is quite a nice guy now.

Nope. From the onset of puberty to around age 25, boys just grunt. Occasionally they will whine, moan, or storm off in a huff. Painting the bedroom black is also an option. Conversation is not a priority for them, particularly with old folk (i.e. anyone over 25) who clearly will not be able to understand them in any way so why bother.
Fortunately, they do grow out of being little sh*ts, but it takes time ...
You do realise that on their 18th birthday you can dump all their stuff outside the house and change the locks?

Not mine, they (9 & 13) keep breaking my ...ls for all and the most silly reasons. 
Moreover they are very different from each other, so I guess you cannot generalize.

The only const in relation to kids is the change - they differ from one another (and even looks similar you are doomed if try the same approach). They also change over time (sometime several times the same day)...
I have 4 of them and can drive me crazy within 2 seconds they open their eyes...

I can't comment about sons - I only have daughters.
My two daughters (16 & 14) do actually spend time with the "old fogies" (my wife & myself). That is almost the only thing they have in common - their interests, concerns, etc. are totally different.
I suspect that this is true of many, if not most, families. YMMV

Having 3 children, daughter 26, son 22 and son 18, I can confirm that between the ages of 12 and 23 that in their eyes I have become a blithering idiot who has no valid opinion and only lives to torment their lives.
My daughter has fully come out of this and a pleasant mother to my grandson.
My oldest son is starting to come around gradually (He even cleaned his room without being asked last week!)
As for the youngest, he is beginning to realize that moving out would be terrible for him at this time. (He's the son we had to check into a mental health facility for depression a couple of years ago. He seems to be doing better now.)

Weren't you a boy yourself once? What would you say, based on that?
Not that I have any myself, but I guess having kids brings a whole new perspective on how you were to your own parents. Now that you're a parent yourself, you can choose to sympathize or antagonize.
