With Visual Studio 2019, I just noticed that Windows Forms Designer now names event methods in upper-case. Previously, it was lower-case, which the source code analyzer would complain about.
So, I guess it makes me...happy? Sometimes its the little things in life

reading the latest news are you prepared for the big shifts where
- win and uwp (and mfc) will all merge into "windows forms" (or whatever) and,
- .net will merge with .net core into .net core
- new sql stuff, but mostly the old stuff under a different name
so as they claim it'll be the same everywhere/every platform ... except where it's not
(ok, probably got some of that wrong, but then again they themselves release conflicting information each week.)
but with absolute surety you can also rely on
- changing the names of those and other unified platforms/packages (more than once)
- more platforms where "it'll be the same" with more where it actually wont be the same
- removal of more useful features, addition of new useless features and more bloat
happily moving to 2017 now they've stopped buggering about with that.

We're all going to be getting new dev laptops at work in the near future. While the planned hardware specs are awesome (fully loaded 15" laptops: i9, 32gb, 1tb, the only thing I'd maybe change would be the brand), they're also USB-C only  . There will still be a fair number of older systems around which only have USB-A though. I was hoping to be able to find good dual port (A on one end, C on the other) flashdrives to bridge the gap; but looking on Amazon the only drives I'm seeing with 2 ports are no-name ones whose reliability and performance I have serious doubts over.
Are there any quality options I haven't been able to find among the flood of junk, or am I SOL?
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

is wrong with amazon. I can find Sandisk, Kingston, etc branded A or C only drives; but when I tried for dual port ones all I found was an endless flood of no-name junk. 
Feeding a few brand names in the closest I got was a few drives that came with matching dongle/caps.
