Your best bet is to look at Microsoft's converted VC6 sample macros that have been converted to VB .NET. (They're in the file DevStudio6Editor in MacroExplorer.) Then study the differences and work from there.

Dear Friends
I have a send email program in VB.NET my programm is running well it sents the mail file in c:\Inetpub\mailroot\Queue but from there it is not sending to the recepient. the mail files are still in Queue folder even i am connected to the internet and even my smtp service is running well.
please help me. your quick response will be highly appreciated.

You want to save the file using the vb6 code or using the save command in word. I think to save the file in the server you must have appropriate permission to write the file to any specific folder (or mapped drive) on the server then it is enough.

What install program are you using ? You can't write a VB.NET program to install .NET, that's impossible. If you want to write your own code, it''ll have to be in C++.

hi friends,
i'm using vb.net for devloping a web application. my code shows nothing wrong. but when i click a button to add the entries this error is being shown. my other applications are also developed in the same manner but they do not show error. the only difference in this application is that i'm tring to enter data into database from text property of a label. can this be a cause. i'm unable to figure out please help me.

Anyone know how to set the listview forecolor and backgroundcolor?
I'm facing difficulty in understanding on how to set text color for a particular cell or item in the listview and also the background color for a row.

i would suggect making a custom class, inheriting from windows.forms.components.listview , the owner draw the parts you need the colour to change on, and make properties so you can specify the colours

I use the following code to play a movie clip in a picture box on a form.
The movie and picture box are sized to be a specified width and height using
the variables 'moviewidth' and 'movieheight'. The window is called 'main'
and the picture box in it is 'mpicpicture'. The mpeg file to be displayed is
'FileName'.

The movie plays fine in the picture box. I have added buttons which pause
and resume the playing of the video using similar code to the above (that
is, replace the 'play' command with 'pause' or 'resume').
When the movie clip is paused I would like to copy the frame currently
showing to another picture box to become a still picture in that box. I have
tried such things as
main.mpicpicture.picture = main.mpicpicture.image
main.mpiccopy.picture = main.mpicpicture.picture
All that happens is that the new picture box resizes to the same size as the
one showing the video but it remains blank. Is there any way to access the
picture content of the video clip?
Can someone help me with this problem?

What is your method that you use to save your image file to the database. For my technique i usually store an image file in the database by record the file path. To display an image from the database, i use this technique: picturebox.image = image.fromfile(image path). Please give more detail about your technique to write the file to the database.
