There's about 10 MB of documentation and quick starts that come with the distribution. Look for the "Docs" and "QuickStarts" directories sitting under where you installed it.
You can find info on the official site[^, as well as a group of webcasts[^] that are pretty informative, if you don't mind the rather jovial tone of most of the sessions.
There are also links to more information on Channel9[^].
There is no shortage of information about the Enterprise Library. All you have to do is look for it. Google is your friend.

I've made an interface in C# in which is it possible to load multiple images in pictureboxes. The problem is that the boxes are not transparent.
When the pictureboxes are overlapping, there is a white square around it.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

how do i select the whole row in datagrid when clicking on single cell without selecting text in it
|
|
|
|
|
hey you want to do it in client side or server side.
If you want in client side,you can add the JaveScript function to each item of the DataGrid in Item created event.
For Server side use select button.
But client sied will be very easy and fast.
If you want code stuff for that ask me i will send it to you
Tnx

I need to keep informations in memory, so i am using System.Collections - ArrayList, my structure is a Father and Son and grandson, where each Father can have any Son and each Son can have any grandson .
Father and Son and grandson are Arraylist, is there any problem adding then in each other ?
this structure is a tree, is there another to do this ?
ArrayList father = new ArrayList();
ArrayList son = new ArrayList();
ArrayList grandson = new ArrayList();
grandson.Add("joão");
grandson.Add("MAx"):
grandson.Add("Junior"):
son.Add(grandson);
father.Add(son);
thanks

Why not a class for each, which carries an arraylist of it's children and one of it's parents ? Ideally, you could give each person an ID, and store the names in a single hashtable by ID, so you can look up names when you need them, but the classes just carry an array of numbers ( nice and efficient, each name is only stored once ).
Then you could have a single arraylist of person objects, each of which has it's own ID, and the ID's of it's relatives. Of course, I'm not sure how this would suit you in terms of your searching needs.
So
Person bob = new Person("Bob");
Person fred = new Person("Fred");
Person Bill = new Person("Bill");
Inside the person class:
ArrayList myChildren = new ArrayList();
static Hashtable Names = new Hashtable();
static int IDs = 0;
Inside the constructor:
this.ID = IDs++;
Person.Names[this.ID] = name;
Then a method to add a child:
public int AddChild(Person child)
{
myChildren.Add(child.ID);
return myChildren.Count;
}
You could either add grandchildren with a method, or implicitly ( have a GetGrandchildren method that works out who the children of my children are ).

Hi Christian Graus thanks for helping
i would like to know one more thing, how does an ArrayList works ?it is like a linked node or it is like a common Array ?
Thanks

It uses an array in the background. If the number of items added are more than the number of items in the array, the array is copied, and reallocated to a larger array, usually 2x the size of the original.

When using the "SQLServer" mode in web.config in ASP.NET, the session objects' values will be stored into an SQL server as varbinary data types....
What i am interested to know if there is a way to deserialize the varbinary data type back into the same session object as before......
Thanks

I have a panel inside a form im drawing to becuase the drawing space needs to be bigger than the form and the user needs to be able to scroll round the image using the form scroll bars..
i have used
SetStyle(ControlStyles.DoubleBuffer, true);
SetStyle(ControlStyles.UserPaint, true);
SetStyle(ControlStyles.AllPaintingInWmPaint, true);
to try and stop the flicker but it only works when the form itself is drawn to.
How do i get double buffering to work on the panel?
Thanks.

Yeah sorry about that...
I hate it when I search for a problem and the OP says "sorted" and it just dies right then and there, to.
So here goes:
My Drawing function looked like this(Though it has been drasticly cut down to the bare minimum for readability):
<br />
private void DrawMyStuff()<br />
{<br />
System.Drawing.Graphics myGraphics;<br />
myGraphics = myPanel.CreateGraphics();<br />
<br />
MyGraphics.DrawImage(myBitmap, x*Size,y*Size);<br />
MyGraphics.Dispose();<br />
<br />
}<br />
My panels paint method looked like this
<br />
private void myPanel_Paint(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
DrawMyStuff();<br />
}<br />
I have since changed it to look like this:
<br />
private void DrawMyStuff(Graphics g)<br />
{<br />
g.DrawImage(myBitmap, x, y);<br />
g.Dispose();<br />
}<br />
&
<br />
private void myPanel_Paint(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.PaintEventArgs e)<br />
{<br />
DrawMyStuff(e.Graphics);<br />
}<br />
I think my problem was re-assigning the graphics object every time and in a way bybassing the double buffering by recreating the drawing surface constantly.
Hope that helps some people...
