I think the easy answer is "No". I think you're just going to have to redraw them!

Hi,
I seem to be stuck in this MFC coding world...
I made a treeview and I coded a message handling function that handles the message =TVN_SELCHANGED (when a tree item is selected). I did this first by going to the properties of my CLeftView class and clicking 'messages' button, then scrolling to =TVN_SELCHANGED and selecting the item from the drop down list to add the function for this message. Then I coded it.
But for some weird reason that function does not seem to execute when I run my program and select an item in the tree. What gives? I am a newbie in MFC, I am more comfortable in .NET, but already dislike to program in MFC - its just so much easier in .NET.
Anywas, if anybody knows what Im doing wrong, or maybe what im not doing that Im supposed to, if you could point it out to me, I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks.

Is there any method to track creation and activation of windows of different processes?
I can't use windows hook due to some of my project rules.
Is there any simple event watch functions, rather than using a timer or thread?

This sounds like homework, because that is a rediculus rule.
Look up process in the MSDN, specificaly EnumProcesses().
I do not know it that helps, but it is a start.

Thank you for replay.
But why did you think it is a homework? I will be fine if it was a homework!
OK, I'm going to try EnumProcesses()...
|
|
|
|
|
I didn't realy.;) I just thought the no-hook requirement to restrictive. The enumeration process will probably be slow and may still require a seperate thread to raise an event.
I've spent time searching and found nothing, that did not use hooks.

As Nish works for Dundas, it might be something for one of their classes and the rule would be due to the fact that they don't want to install a hook on a client machine.

I want to perform some calculation which require extremely large floating point values i.e. > 1.7e308. I want some class for handling such large calculations. 128Bit or more.
Any tips would be welcomed.
Thanks!

May be you can get some help with this link.

actually, my VisualCalc 2.13 uses simple double s for now...
if he had wanted 128 bits integers, he could have used __int64, but for floating point numbers... i really don't know.

Hello,
You could always create a class that holds a memory block of 128 bits. You have to decide which floating point representation you use and define all the basic operations yourself. You have to go down to the bit level yourself to do all the excact calculations.
One class declaration could look like:
class CFloat128
{
public:
CFloat128(unsigned __int64 uLowOrder,
unsigned __int64 uHighOrder = 0,
bool bNegative = false);
~CFloat128();
private:
void* m_pData;
};
CFloat128 operator + (const CFloat128& lFloat, const CFloat128 rFloat);
Hope this helps

I have 2 bitmaps i.e
m_sBitmap1="C:\\abc.bmp" //large in size
m_sBitma2="C:\\xyz.bmp"//having small size.
now i have to load both bitmaps in the form that small bitmap(xyz.bmp) display on a specific position on the large(abc.bmp)bitmap as i want.and then both bitmaps visible to me.
plz guide me with source code.

A bitmap becomes a drawable surface if selected into a device context.
Essentially, given a "screen DC", you can create two memory DC with CreateComaptibleDC and then select the bitmaps in their respective DC.
A that point, the content of a DC can be painted over the other with the BitBlt function.
Depending on the framework you are using, those Win32 functions are wrapped in appropriate classes (MFC or WTL have their own - see the respective documentation).
Don't forget to restore the DCs to their original content before destroy them.

Infact I want to use Setup API and some other s of DDk which are declared in "cfgmgr32.h".
So Please tell me what should I do to overcome this problem.
