Hi!
I need a treeviewe which shows files and folders with tristate checkboxes file-specific +icons
Plz give the solution or give the code,Cdes a re there which do it individually and they are cryptic codes, I wanted something which i could understand,So it would be very nice of you,if u can give me some insight

try searching CP, i know there are articles on treevies and seperate articles on associated icons, then just put the 2 together
otherwise it would be a lengthy post here, and its just replicating what is already said

I'm porting a MacOSX Application to Windows.
So far we've got a viewer.
Now I would like to be able to do is when one of our file is one the web and the user click on the URL, the viewer should open in IE, very much like what happen when you open a .PFD file on the web with IE.
Any pointers on how to do that?
Even C++/Win32 one?

Hi,
I've used HelpProvider class to show some help strings on form
controls. But when I write a Persian word in SetHelpString() function, I see some illegal characters instead of that Persian word. Can anyone help me to solve this problem please.
P.S: Persian language is known as Farsi language also!

Hi!
I have one buttons and two text boxes on a same page at two places, that means 4 text boxes and two buttons.
My problem is to set focus on relative button or set tab index to buttons.
When i press enter after enter both value in text boxes my focus gone to the another button which comes first in left hand side of the page.
How can i set foucus to the desired button , so that when i came out from text box it automatically should go to the its next button in stead of going to another buttons, which are assosiated with other text boxes.
I hope you great people can understand this problem, and help me to out of come this situation.

Hi,
I think the property TabIndex should help you. Setting this property (is an integer property) will set your controls into a special order, which can be traversed using the Tab-Button.
You can set this property directly using code or the property page of the control (within VS.NET).

What is the easiest way to detect when applications launches and terminates using C#? What I want to do is make a program that monitors my application usage.
I've read that this can be accomplished with a c++ dll that uses hooks, but I would preferably use only C#.

You can wrap C++ dll up into assembly that can be used in .NET enviroment

If your purpose is to just record the application usage and that too only for one application [or per application], then you can also consider the simple solution of using the DateTime.Now method at the time of start of your application and the closure of your application. Do it from that application itself. And, store these values in some file or place on the user machine in the form of some log file or otherwise.
On the other hand, if your purpose is to "monitor" your application in some other manner (say by way of initiating some other action on the system), then you may consider some other solution depending upon the type of requirement.

Thank you for the answers but I was hoping that that I could monitor all program (all programs on the computer, not just my application) launches and terminations with pure C#.
If this isn’t achievable then I will have to use enjoycrack’s method.

Hi All,
I wanna to get some help about how to get a media player control in Windows CE.NET 4.2 using c#.
I Have tried with PIAs also. But, no help. If anyone has the sample code, please post it and help me out.
Am using Windows XP SP1 and .NET 1.1 environment and WinCE emulator version 4.2.
I wanna to play some Video / Audio files in my Windows CE application using C#.

i have a class which contains one property of ARRAY type. when I check this class in propertyGrid, everything works fine and I can work with ArrayEditor attached to the property without any problems.
now I would like to use my own ArrayEditor for this property, so I write:
[Editor(typeof(MyArrayEditor), typeof(System.Drawing.Design.UITypeEditor))]
public object[] Test
{...
MyArrayEditor is inherited from ArrayEditor. The problem is, propertygrid does not use my editor but still default one for arrays. does anyone know how to explain this behaviour?

If I declare in EditorAttribute string instead of type just like here
[Editor("MyNamespace.MyArrayEditor", typeof(System.Drawing.Design.UITypeEditor))]
public object[] Test
{...
it works. but if anyone understands this I would still like to know why. thanks

To retreive email, u have to implement POP3 protocol.
To more easier, just find the article that had already wrap it up as a class for easily programming.
And I'm pretty sure that u can search a lot on CP site.

Dear Friends,
I have a problem. I want to use a cookie for some kind of data sharing between the Web Based
part of my App. and the Windows Based part. (I insert my desired value in a cookie using Asp .Net, but I can not read it from my Windows Forms!)
The problem is, when I extract the Data With HttpWebRequest obj, that string is something
like an encrypted string! something like this : 12wec4hdnx56ye4fdh (and it's not fixed)
I'll be thankful if you would help me.

P.S. I tried it with a Web Service method, but the problem is still the same !!
There is no problem when I read it in an ASP.Net page.

The cookie is stored in the browser, not in the web server. You can't get the value using a WebRequest, as the value is sent to the server, not from the server. If you want the value you have to store it elsewhere.
