Search for the article "survive release build" (or something like that) on codeProject. It gives common reasons for Debug OK / Release Crash problems.

I am converting a wave file for which my boss gave me the calculations for.
I have two PUCHAR buffers alloocated with GLOBALALLOC. One is input buffer which I have loaded from the file, the other is an output buffer which I will store the converted data into.
The buffers are defined as follows:
PUCHAR m_pbyDemoBuffer;
PWORD m_pwOutDemoAudio;
I need to convert m_pbyDemoBuffer to 16-bit (PWORD), then perform calculation on it before storing it in m_pwOutDemoAudio. I need to do this by indexing each 16-bit element.
My question is, how do I convert the input buffer to PWORD and how would I assign the value (plus whatever calculations I make) of index 0 of m_pbyDemoBuffer to the value of index 0 of m_pwDemoOutAudio?
My boss is having me do the following:
m_pwDemoOutAudio[0] = m_pbyDemoInBuffer[0] * 128
I think this is wrong because both variables are pointers. Wouldn't the above code assign the "memory address times 128" to m_pwDemoOutAudio?
Thanks.

It won't. If the code was m_pbyDemoInBuffer * 128 , then you'd be correct. m_pbyDemoInBuffer[0] is the same as *(m_pbyDemoInBuffer + 0), so yeah, it does access whatever is pointed to by m_pbyDemoInBuffer.

Hello,
I've finished a Bruteforce Algorithm yesterday. The Output is written to a file. It's really quick: 3million (Peak) 2.8million(Normal). Now I want to use the algortihm to Bruteforce MD5 Values. All algortihm I have found need 0.000048 or something like this to generate the MD5 Hash. But that is too slow. I need a really fast C++ MD5 Algorithm anybody knows a good one ?

Google "MD5 source assembler" found this site:
http://www.movsd.com/source.htm[^]
Have a look at mdx.zip. It contains a MD5-algorithm written in assembler (masm). (And a MD4-algorithm aswell).

I want my application to have two SDI-Frame windows. How do I create two separate frame windows? Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting two views of the same document? if so, just add a CSplitterWnd object to the frame. Search MSDN for examples of how to use this class to create two or more views.

ya you can use splitter window either dynamic or static ,were you can specify the view type and do the necesary manipulation on it,CSplitterWnd is the class .

Can anyone suggest a way to display a popup menu that has no 3D
borders and looks flat like a listbox? I have tried owner drawn menus
but they only let you draw on the menu items and not the border. I
can't find an option to turn off the 3D effects for a menu.
BTW, I need solution that doesnt use C++, MFC or any libs (only pure API)
PS:
I'll pay $8 (using paypal) for the the one who provide a working source code.
Thanks!!

Which API are you referring to?

A solution does not exist since you cannot use the Win32 API without using a library (which you stated was not allowed).

I mean you can use, only win32 library.

Hi,
I am new to VC++. I tried to find out how to start up the default broswer with an URL
within SDI.
I google and search this site but without much luck.
I believed I need to make a system call but not sure how to do it with VC++.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try this
ShellExecute(NULL,"open","http://www.codeproject.com",NULL,NULL,SW_SHOWNORMAL);
