How can I debug attributes ?
I wrote a custom attribute for a control and I put a breakpoint in it but it does not stop in it.
the problem with the code is that it is invoked in design time (at design time of the project using my control).

I need to know given a datatable wether it is sorted or not.
I need this to reverse the sorting (i.e. if it is sorted Asc make it Desc and vise verca)

When you populate it use ORDER BY column ASC then store a boolean value with the datatable, e.g.
bool isSortedAsc = true; Then, if you need to flip the order you will know which order it is currently in by the Boolean flag.

Hi,
I have just learned about calling a dll method in runtime but unfortunately i could not see a successful result from the loaded dll. I got the error message, "Unable to find entry point "PostalCode" in dll "monster.dll"
I have used the following code.
[DllImport(@"C:\PRIO KOBITA\monster.dll",EntryPoint="PostalCode")]

and the dll Soure code is like,

If you want to call a method from .Net assebmly you dont have to use DllImport, you can juse use reflection (see System.Reflection namce space). Dllimport mainly used to interface with native dlls not .Net assebmly. For example if you want to open a file and get the file handle you may write something like
[DllImport("kernel32",CharSet=CharSet.Unicode,SetLastError=true)]
static extern unsafe int CreateFile(
string filename,
uint desiredAccess,
uint shareMode,
uint attributes,
uint creationDisposition,
uint flagsAndAttributes,
uint templateFile);
in your .Net code, and call this as like any other .Net methods.

Hi All,
I need to add to my Form some table.
I need to arrange the info in this table in grid but i don't know how to do is.
I add ListView object to my form , but i can`t create grid in it to see in more clear way the info in it.
The info that i need to add to my table has no connection to database - so i cant use the example that are in here.

Hello,
I am working on a project where i have to fill a recgangle on a panel against a button click.When the button is clicked it works fine the rectangle is drawn but the problem accours when i resize my form or some other form is open on it the drawing that is on the panel is wash out imen it is clered from the panel i am writing the code.If any one knows the solution plz let me know.

Program a lot, make a lot of mistakes and correct those mistakes.

- Data structures and algorhitms in C# (bruno preiss).
- Familiarise yourself with every single class in every assembly, starting with mscorlib.dll, use

- Understand what can and cant be down (iow what you need to get the job done).
- Look at opensource implementations of the runtimes.

Everyone says that the sftp part of this works great but i need to run commands remotely. Do you have to authenticate using the scp? I can't get the key from my computer(XP) to a Gentoo Linux box. If you know how can you help me??

I have a timesheet pogram that I am trying to convert from a DS based program to C#. I have all of the functionality of the old program, and then some, except for printing the report ( which I will gve an example of ). To descibe what I have to use for data, I have a DateTime Array(one for each day of the week). In this structure, I populate it with info from a table. The table includes the employee id, date, time in, time out, hours worked, type of work, and lunch break. Where could I start to get this information into a report via Crystal Reports? I couldn't paste the report for a good representation( it wrapped). I don't have web link for it either..and doesn't look like attachmants are allowed.....
Anyway...the main question is how do I use structures and arrays with Crystal Reports? Is it even available? I need this report to look as close to the old thing as possible..that what the payroll department wants...
And where should I start learning crystal reports?

Hi everyone, freshly arrived in the System.Drawing namespace , I try to figure out how it works. But for this precise problem,
I need your help: I am trying to load an image in a Bitmap object. The source file is a .pgm grayscale image (format specifications:
http://netpbm.sourceforge.net/doc/pgm.html)
I don't know if there already exists some method from a class that can help me convert the data or if I should write something on my own. In this last case, I really lack some idea.
As always, it would not be fun if I was not in a hurry, let's say that my project is turning into an emergency.
Any help is welcome

I just like to insist on the beginner aspect of my question. Could you be a more precise?
I don't think I need the bmp header, I just want to use the System.Drawing.Bitmap class.
Also, the decoding phase from pgm to bitmap is a bit confusing for me. What PixelFormat should I use for the receiving bitmap?
Is the conversion from a single int to a pixel is okay?
grayValue = br.ReadByte();
pixel = Convert.ToInt32(grayValue);
bmp.SetPixel(i, j, Color.FromArgb(pixel,pixel,pixel)
