This is a sure-fire way of annoying people, and therefore NOT getting an answer
anurajju wrote: have u tried to solve this
Seeing as you have not really given us much to go on, I don't think many people can answer this positively
anurajju wrote: Any idea
Yes, firstly select your forum correctly and post a question ONCE in ONE forum. This particular forum is for specific C# related questions. That is to say - you post some C# code, what the problem is, what error you have, what line it occurs on etc etc and we tell you how to rectify the problem.
Your question may well be suited to the ASP.NET, Web Development, or even .NET framework, but currently there is not much we can help you with.

Ahhh, semantics. The solution is usually WITHIN the comment!

Obviously not.
If you didn't post in so many categories, perhaps you could keep track of the replies.

My requirement is to communicate data from a s/w to a Wireless access point which supports https protocol. All I understood is HTTPS is HTTP over SSL and client needs a certificate to connect to webserver while establishing connection.
Guide me which C# class has to be used. What are the prerequisites for HTTPS connection?
I'm looking for some sample. Please share any sample if you have.
Thanks,
Shylaja.

Hai Shylaja,
I have been looking for similar solution but on different grounds, and also posted a Question on to the forum and found no answer. I need to Communicate to a website on HTTPS and supply some login information and Emulate the Login Button click on the Server it self. i was able to achive it on the local machine but on the remote it says Authentication failed. Any ways ...
All i can suggest you to look into HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse classes and do some research and you might get it done. there are few good articles on CodeProject like "How to use HTTPWebRequest and HTTPWebResponse". search for this you will find it i Hope this will serve the purpose....

I have to compare two database files on two servers for the differences between their objects like tables, stored procs. I just need to know if there are differences, and dont need to check the syntax or anything.
For the time I just need to know how to pass in the names of the server and database into a form and then passing them to sql server to get access to the mdf files to compare them.
I have tried to find stuff on google but cant really get any direction at all.

My database is Oracle 9i.I use Dataset and procedure .
when I use the method-UpdateDataset,it return an error.
it shows that "Parameter 'P_Addresses': No size set for variable length data type: String.". "P_Addresses" is my parameter.
Can someone help me?

Without seeing your code, I am thinking it might that you didn't set the amount of memory the string should take up. For example, you are using a DBCommandWrapper object and wish to set an IN parameter using AddInParameter. You need to set name, type and size. Of course without seeing your code, I am only guessing.

Well, I cannot view the file here, but I can suggest that if this file is output from a modelling tool then the first place to start is with the vendor. They may have an API that handles the drawing or file access for you. If that doesn't work, they may have a descriptor file that tells you how to process the data inside the file. Then you would have to roll your own file processor and implement the drawing within the Paint method of a panel.
If you are real fancy, you can create your own user control and then all you have to do is expose a property that would get the file to display, and all of the above roll-your-own code is then encapsulated within the control. That makes your final product more flexible.
Hope this helps. That will be $20.

I'm doing a custom install action program which is designed to implement the just-copied DLL's in the GAC. The DLL compiles without a problem. The install program compiles without a problem. No warning for either program. Yet when Setup goes to execute my DLL, it says the DLL or one of its' dependants cannot be found. (sigh) I even verified that the install project is packaging the DLL and its debug package correctly and it is. I'm at a loss. Here is the code I've deployed:
using System;
using System.ComponentModel;
using System.Configuration;
using System.Configuration.Install;
using System.Diagnostics;
using System.IO;

public class RegisterComponent:Installer

string dllPath;
#region ..ctor Implementation
public new void Dispose()

this.Dispose(true);
GC.SuppressFinalize(this);
}
public new void Dispose(bool disposing)
{
if (disposing)
{}
base.Dispose(disposing);
}
#endregion
#region Custom Install Actions
public override void Install(System.Collections.IDictionary stateSaver)
{
try

stateSaver.Add("Path", dllPath);
System.Diagnostics.Trace.WriteLine("Performing the base install", "RegistrationInstaller");
base.Install (stateSaver);

That variable should be surrounded by % % ie %FILEPATH% given it exists.... (i assume you define it somewhere).
What happens when u run the file you have just created?
And turn echo on if you debugging, unless you like doing stuff blind.

leppie,
Sorry, I missed a rather significant part to the problem. The error I'm getting is that my dll itself is not found by MSI. The packager copies the RegisterComponent.dll file into the package, but when the installer runs it reports that it cannot find RegisterComponent.dll or one of its' dependancies.
The FILEPATH keyword is a part of the /r option of gacutil so since it is not an actual variable, the % signs are not needed.
So bottom line is that the dll is never getting run. My latest try : strong-naming the dll : did not help me either and I'm totally puzzled by this! I've written several custom installers and I've never had this problem!
But I've also noticed that when I installed Google Web Accelerator it never was able to cache anything on my machine and always reported 0.0 time saved. (while on my home machine that I control, it began working with my first page) So now I'm wondering if I have a weird security issue on this machine that is preventing the installer from writing to disk???!!!
I am at a loss right now.
