Hello, the only option in the edititemtemplate is a linkbutton or push button... so how do I change this to a textbox?

linkbutton or push button is your project options or you are saying only two two controls are available in the edititemtemplate.If your case is latter one then you can check it again , there is checkbox, button, image,label,textbox controls etc available in the edititemtemplate.You can use any of them

thanks alot, I am using Visual studio 2003 and it has only two controls in the edititemtemplate which are link button and push button...

So how u I change this to a textbox?

Just go in HTML and in that put textbox inside.For ex:
<asp:templatecolumn>
<itemtemplate>
<asp:textbox textmode="SingleLine">

Inside this u will see <itemtemplate>and inside this u will find <asp:textbox>I hope now u can c and also u got help from me.

textpersid = (System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox)e.Item.Cells[0].Controls[0];

or
textpersid = (System.Web.UI.WebControls.TextBox)e.Item.Cells[0].Controls[1];

Lets get this straight u r saying u got a datagrid and u want to read only two columns from the source (which might very well be a database) and display them is this right.

Suppose i have datagrid:
This much Data will be shown in datagrid
Name Age Address State
a 10 abc ss
b 20 vvv dd

Now i want to print only two columns
The result to be printed should be
Name Age
a 10
b 20

OleDbDataAdapter da = new OleDbDataAdapter(cmd);

da.Fill(ds2); //da is DataAdapter and ds2 is Dataset

DataGrid2.DataSource = ds2.Tables[0];

DataGrid2.DataBind();

Hi alyeasad

In my project, I'm accessing indian customs web site. I want to pass the username,password to the login page and also the submit button should be set true.

I tried in vb.net, I used the web browser. I'm able to pass the values.
The code is
AxWebBrowser1.Document.theForm.Username.value = "###"

I need the same in asp.net.

Is there any possibility. Please help.
