my question is about IE scripting.
I have 100 notebook client. In Company i have 131.107.2.0 domain.
my proxy server is 131.107.2.7
when employees at work, they can connect to internet using proxy.
But When thay at home, there is no proxy, they have direct internet connection generally.
They cannot connect to net unless they uncheck "use proxy server" at ie properties,connection tab, lan settings part.
So i wantto write a script to prevent this.
I wrote a script but it is not working.
Any idea or where i find any script to do this.

Is it possible to assign 0 in the fourth octet? As far as I know 0 and 255 could not be assign as the host id in the fourth octet.

0 on the fourth byte represents a network address. it is not possible to assign a PC with such an address, but a network does have such an IP...
255 cannot be used either because it is used for masks...

Hi my question is, how do you go about querying a new agent about the type of MIB module it uses? Or do you have to know the agent etc and hardcode it into a 3rd party snmp manager.

Hi
I have a win32 program that consumes 100% of CPU Power.
I do not have the source neither the author will correct the problem.
I tried TAME but works only for DOS applications.
I wonder if there is something i can do the os is WINXP.

No, there isn't. Either the author fixes the problem or you go looking for a better author.

Actually there is. I don't remember how but I've seen explanations of how to do this before on distributed computing forums. I think it involved editing something in the registry but I never paid much attention since my boxes run 24/7/365.

I wouldn't really call that a "supportable" solution. Changing system-wide settings to get an app running isn't a real good idea. Especially since the "developer" was so lazy about how he wrote it in the first place.

I think the setting was changable on a per app basis. One thing I recall it be used for was to make two apps that didn't share a framework behave well together instead of waging war over cycles. If i remember I'll try and find what it was when I get home from work tonight.

Depends upon when the virus/worm/trojen or other Malware is written, and passesd arround. There are a number of Malware for the mobile platforms, but not a lot moving that I know of. Check out the http://www.sans.org and some of the usenets forums.

If it could be infect by the virus. Are there any anti-virus tool that could install on this device and prevent it from virus infection? If no virus tool available, there there any solution to prevent the virus from an internet to affect this device?

Yes, there are several AV-Solutions for mobile appliances. But most I know of were written for the SymbianOS used in mobile phones.
I believe F-Secure has something more generic...
