hello everyone,
i have a small query regarding images.
When i retrieve the images from SQL database the image is being retrived as System.byte[]. So,how to convert those bytes into images and display on the datagrid. On the datagrid it should be displayed as thumbnails and when i click on the thumbnail it should be displayed as full image.
I am using Sql database and Asp.net webapplicaton,C#.net
Plz, can anyone suggest me some websites and can anyone write be code for this.

byte[] bytes = GetBytesFromDbOrWhatEver();
System.Drawing.Image image = System.Drawing.Image.FromStream(new System.IO.MemoryStream(bytes));

Hi,
I have a website in ASP and we are planning to rewrite it to .Net. There are some 40-50 reports in the website. With the current site we use a native application for generating the reports. But with .Net we are planning to use some report engine to do the job for us. For SQL Server database we have SQL Server Reporting services. Can we use the same for Oracle data base or is there any other efficient reporting engine for .Net & Oracle. Please give me some suggestions.

Hi,
I am new to mobile tech. I am trying to install MMIT for VS2005 in XP platform, while installing i am getting an error "Setup cannot be run because of incompatable Framework version.........". I am in an confusion  ,how to overcome this problem.?

Dear All,
I am using Crystal Reports for my web appplication. The Report which I have designed is for the paper whose height half of that of A4 but the width is same as A4. I have created a custom papersize in my printer properties. When i am using this papersize for my crystal report it is not displaying the report in correct size.
Sample Source:
Dim Rdoc as new ReportDocument
Rdoc.Load(Server.Mappath("Rpt_Receipt"))
ReportViewer1.ReportSource=Rdoc
The code doesnt work.
I have even tried using the PrintOptions.PaperSize
Like,
Dim R as new Rpt_Receipt
Rdoc.PrintOptions.PaperSize=R.PrintOptions.PaperSize
But the output has same height as that of the A4 and not my custom height.
I have also changed the paper size properties in my browser and printer.
Even then I couldnt get a proper output.
Is there any way to create a custom paper size.
Pleas let me know if anyone have the solution.

Have you tried creating the internet shortcut file which is simply a text file ending with .url?

Put the above statement in an html file and add Special folder->User's Desk top->Paste the Html file in that.
The above code works only ifthe user does not change the Virtual directory name during the time of installation. Else you will have to cjange it manually in html file.

I am posting this request 3rd time. Actualy i am getting following errors often on my site...
Invalid_Viewstate Client IP: 216.152.182.111 etc.
Some articles suggest that its becuase of Application Pool Recycling on Web Server BUT I dnt get any code or some affective suggestion to get rid of this problem.
Please help me out of this.

the event of a tree view SelectedNodeChanged does not fire if i use tree view's property NavigateURL to move to the URL on clicking the child node...i had also set its SelectAction to Select property...but no use...ne help or update in this regard will be really helpful...

Has anyone had any experience with ASP.NET code generators?
I’m looking for a package that will produce my admin pages – adding, editing and deleting records in SQL Server – and will allow me to easily modify the source code where necessary. Ideally, the pages produced would look professional.
Here’s the catch: I’m using Visual Studio .NET 2003, and I know some won’t support this.
There seem to be a lot of these out there, but does anyone recommend a particular tool?

i hv prblem ,i hv server control textbox on a form,i wnt to validate the entered value in the textbox,the value mst be digit range 0 to 9,if the user enter the alphabetic word like A,B up Z,it prompt the user plz enter the digit..the textbox is taking the phone Number..
