Hi,
Can I post application tutorials made using open source toolkits like Qt or GTK+?
I have posted two tutorials in the OpenGL section which is using MFC. But I have also ported the application to Qt and also made some applications using GTK+ originally on Linux. Both Qt and Gtk+ applications are ported on Win32 platform too. I hope it will be helpful to the community to know more about these toolkits which are good and stable options on win32 platform and moreover, FREE.

Hi All,
I have a VC++ application its a bit big application having more than 10 ATL
components. The application is client/server architecture with
multi-threading. The server does the data trasnfer from one database to
another using ODBC/OLEDB.
If at all I want to change the technology from VC++, is it advisable to
migrate it to .NET? Can any one comment on the migration plan from vc++ to
.NET?

This forum is for Article Requests and Ideas. Java APIs are in a whole different ballgame than .NET. Don't think you can do Java APIs in .net.

i used free web services to send sms to my mobile and my friends
[mobile details: nokia 3310, chennai, old rpg [now aircel]
Friend1 nokia 6300, airtel ,chennai, another one is hutch chennai, 1100 ]
i tried sending sms from many free web services but none has worked,
but the one things web services showing correct provider and showing status has "message sent".
i don't know where i commited the mistake,
could anyone provide idea in sending sms from web application to mobiles,
web services which sends sms

Hi,
I have been exploring on Visual studio tools for office, we have a latest software on this that is 2005 release that is supported by .NET, to work with this sdk we need to have .NET framework and more to be installed. I have read in some articles from Office Developer 2000 that we can use Visual studio tools for Office using VC++. Pls provide information regarding this like where to find the VSTO using VC++? And also provide any articles where i could be clear with this.

Unsurprisingly, if you look on MSDN, you will find links to how to get VSTO, as well as articles on it.

my application is actually a web application where i manually upload CSV file to the database.but i want to automate the process,so i have thought of a second stage to this application i.e through a windows application i would download the CSV file from the NSEIndia.com site automatically and then upload the same to SQLServer on the server.i am facing a problem with upload i.e exporting the data to the database.it would be a great help to me if any one could provide me a solution either in VB.Net code or C# code.
