adding webcontrols at runtime in ASP.Net AasimBasraa10-Aug-06 21:58 AasimBasraa 10-Aug-06 21:58  I want to add a text box when button is clicked. the problem that i am facing is that when i click the add button new textbox is created. but when i try to read the value of the textbox an exceptions occures that no textbox exist. Remember that the textbox is created pretty late in the event cycle - in the raise change events phase. The value can´t be accessed until after that. Try accessing the value in onPreRender and you should be fine. You can achieve this by, In the Design window, Select the Gridview and goto Properties. In that select Events....and Double Click on the appropiate enent u want from the left side event listing. In ItemCommand Event i wroth that Response.Redirect("Models.aspx") Now this temp value also transfer to that Models Page.., I tried the QueryString like: Response.Redirect("Makers1.aspx?val="+temp); but its in Item Command event., but that value in ItemDataBound Command so., It assigns only null value to that one.., Here i can't use session also... And in itemcommand event you can access that command argument property, it will give you the corresponding value of that row.
