All of the sample code for transform filters in the DirectShow SDK has only ONE input pin.
It would be a great contribution if someone could find out how to write a filter with TWO (or more) input pins. This would allow two video (or audio) streams to be combined in whatever way with the two sets of frames being completely in sync.
It's all about buffering frames arriving at each input pins and combining the correct ones by their timestamp.
It's so very useful that I'm amazed that there is no sample or template code out there to show how to do produce a filter with two or more input pins. The solution may be quite complicated but it ought to be pretty general for any type of video or audio format as its really all to do with buffering samples and checking timestamps.
Can anyone come up with a template filter which has all of the required basic functionality?
We could all just plug in our own video or audio sample format and off we go! It would be doing the DirectShow community a massive favour.

The article here is nothing new, but I would just like to share with you people a trick that has been very useful to me in past few years, especially for superficially scrutinizing cyber-strangers.
There is much software out there that will allow you to geo-locate the incoming mails and thereby making this task much easier to perform. For those who want to use this information only casually, the article shows a simple procedure.

First determine the hardware you'll be using for a scanner. Find out if it supports an SDK and then which languages that SDK supports.
Assuming a simple system of two bar-codes, sign-in and sign-out. It is just a matter of saving to a database the time that each of the bar-codes were scanned.
Your question is too broad to be given a reasonable answer. Identify the parts you are having problems with and ask specific questions. There are plenty of resources and examples on the internet for working with bar-codes.

hello,
i have a problem while installing WinPcap 3.1 in silent mode using Installshield Basic MSI project. When trying to install in silent mode it shows the user interfaces also. but i do not need this User INterface. I am using the command line argument /s for silent installation. But this has no problem with WinPcap 3. so please give me the solution.

Why? How many *Nix based sites offer Windows information? They are two different platforms that operate very differently. Code project caters to Windows developers, there are plenty of sites on the net that cater to *Nix and the many variants there of.
Even if you decided to cater to *Nix development you would need to make a choice on who’s Kernel to support (remember there are a number of different flavors, i.e. Berkley FreeBSD, Linux, HP-Unix), or even which distro, again there are more *Nix distros than days of the year.
Your really better off narrowing down what problem your experiencing and finding a specialized website for that issue.

Hi,
Can I post application tutorials made using open source toolkits like Qt or GTK+?
I have posted two tutorials in the OpenGL section which is using MFC. But I have also ported the application to Qt and also made some applications using GTK+ originally on Linux. Both Qt and Gtk+ applications are ported on Win32 platform too. I hope it will be helpful to the community to know more about these toolkits which are good and stable options on win32 platform and moreover, FREE.

Hi All,
I have a VC++ application its a bit big application having more than 10 ATL
components. The application is client/server architecture with
multi-threading. The server does the data trasnfer from one database to
another using ODBC/OLEDB.
If at all I want to change the technology from VC++, is it advisable to
migrate it to .NET? Can any one comment on the migration plan from vc++ to
.NET?
