The reason for the lack of a timer control in the web controls is that the web simply doesn't work that way.
The event from the timer that you created probably does occur, but the method that it calls can't do anything. The page is already created, so the Page object has no purpose any more and is not connected to a Response object any more, so there is nothing that you can do to it that would affect the browser in any way.
If you want to refresh the page you have to do it from the client side. It can be done either using a meta tag or using Javascript. If you google something like "refresh web page", you will probably find thousands of descriptions on how to do it.

Dear all
i opened a pop up window using the javascript function window.open fired by clicking on an image button
the pop up window contains a form, i fill the data and save, i want the button "save" to close the window and refresh the main page that opened the pop up
how can i do that?
what functions do i need?

You can't do that. If you close the window from the save button, the form will never get posted back to the server. Also, if you refresh the main page before posting the form, the changes will not show up on the main page as it will be loaded before the changes are made.
What you need to do is to put some Javascript in the page that is produced as a response after the form has been posted. The Javascript is simple:
window.opener.location.reload(true);window.close();

does using query string in url of SieMapNode of Web.sitemap file correct?
Like This:
SiteMapNode title="My Page" url="MyPage.aspx?ID=1"
as when i made this and binded the file to SiteMapPath Control then
the SiteMapPath control does not appear when I Run the Page which url in Web.siteMap file contain Query String so how can i fix this matter
as i need to use QueryString in web.sitemap file

can i know how can i view the source code of the web page in the browser window using asp. is it any file present +developed using asp

You want the server code? There used to be a bug in iis 4 that would let you see the unprocessed file by calling $DATA after the file name but this has long since been fixed. I think your out of luck here. This would be a huge security problem to see the server code from the client. Because the server file is processed by the ASP dll and spits out HTML all you get to the browser is the raw HTML

In my site, I have placed my aspx files in folders.When I publish my site Visual Studio puts one assembly in Bin(folder) for each folder.These assembly files have some random and meaningless names.I cant recognize which assembly belogs to which folder unless I use disassembler.So I have problem updating site since when I want to change the code for some page I dont know to replace which assembly.Is there anyway for VS to give a clear name to those assemblies ?
If someone know an article about updating site in ASP.NET 2 please help me ??

If the textbox is supposed to contain only integers, you can use the parseInt function to convert it.

I'm trying to make the data which appears in datagrid linkable in such a way when i click on it it will execute some sql command and redirect to same page but it will display another datagrid depending on the sql command I specify could anyone help me out in this matter .

You can make in the data grid item template a hyperlink control that has a command arg and command name and then handle the command using a method like this:
public void hyperlink_Click(object sender,CommandEventArgs e)

if(e.CommandName=="MyCommand")
ExecuteMyProcedure();
}
Where ExecuteMyProcedure() is the method that you should design to execute the stored procedure and you can use the results in QueryString to be redirected to the page as you wish.
I have wrote the code from my memory so you should check it to be shoor using good refrences.

I have a datalist. Linkbuttuon inside it. On clikc of which i need to fll up a data repeater with images of particular id .(commandargument of linkbutton is id) Now I need to do this same with href. Means I want to put href instead of linkbutton .so
I want fun() calls the codebehind method which fills up datarepeater with images of particular id. But I dont want this to be ajax method as it wont access server controls in code behind. means if fun('id') calls FillUp() in code behind which is declared as ajax method then i wont be able to get repeater access in it . Now i m trapped here. Neither I can use ajax nor I want to use linkbutton as on its mouseover i get javascript_dopostback() comes which need to be removed. so plz suggest any alternative ?
Prob 1 : put linkbutton but remove javascript_dopostback() from status bar on mouseover.
Prob 2 : If use anchor instead linkbutton then how to fill up repeater with javascript method.

u can do in two
1) direct set the path of image control url to filecontrol.path
or
2) first save on local machine on default location with the help of map path and then set imageurl to default path
