You can play with read permissions, if the use logged in then y coding change read permission for specific file, but this is not a good solution.
You can also place complete SWF files in database, which is better solution for protecting swf files.
But keep in mind that logged in user can save those swf files into his local computer.

First of all thanks for the quick reply.
Now suppose i change the method and now store all the swf files in database then i will be able to check user validation for using that swf files. this is good. now how to stop saving those swf files on local computers from the logged in users.

hi
if ur are using c# then u can stop downloading the entire page in clients machine. In Page_load 1st line should be..
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache);
in js also u can do it.
It maynot be soln to ur needs.

Hi,
In my one application I want to send a wmv file by mail. But I want that file to be send as inline instead of attachment so that user will start playing it as he opens the mail. Is it possible ? How can I achive this?

I'm connecting to a webservice over https and I need to see the xml that is being sent and returned.
VS generated all the code to connect thru wsdl, and I'm not sure how to see what is transmitted.
Is it somehow possible?
Lookat at http traffic won't work, as data is sent on https port.

U can run the webservice by view in browser. then if u click ur method name it will generate the xml.
Atleast u can check what is the xml it will accept. Before that check in web.config if generating of wsdl documentation is disable or it's ok.

Hello everybody i am creating a reporting project . i am just asking how can i connect to a server application that runs on a LAN from outside (the internet) will i use the router ip address of that Lan ???? cause the Server application is installed on a pc on that lan with private ip address !! i need to traverse NAT , by the way i found an article on codeproject to traverse Nat but it doesn't work for all Networks configuration .
Please help me to access to the internal Lan from the internet using a listening application inside of that Lan ?

I have a CVS file that is too large for excel to read in. So, I want to read in the text file line by line and write out a new CVS file based on the key.
What is the best way in C# to read in a line from a text file. I've looked at StreamReader, but I am thinking there is a better way.

Try using TextReader.ReadLine[^] to read individual lines from the file, then String.Split[^] to get an array of the individual CSV fields. This should allow you to manipulate the data as you see fit, then you can just write the modified data back out to a new file.

BTW, StreamReader (as you pointed out) is derived from the TextReader class, so it should suffice for what you wanted.
