Hi,
In my web app,I have a table,when i am on the last column and press the keyboard enter button a new row is dynamically added to the table,How it possible?how we capture keyboard events,Give some idea regarding this

hi,
In my asp.net application, i want to upload files to my server i.e to my server hard disk and not to application folder. Also i need to browse my server directories,make directories,delete directories.
Pl suggest me a technology to be followed for the above scenario. How far would ftp be useful in this case.

I did something similar using c#. I was able to create directories and files and write them to my server using the standard stream. Although I didnt allow for browsing.
As far as ftp I dont think that would be the best option in this case.
Let me know if u want me to paste a quick example.

Hello,
I tried, unsuccesfully to make a webservice that returns objects with webmethods of their own, using a asp.net webservice.
I need to log every action made by the client and still maintain a nested interface.;)
for example: a flat regular web service interface: wsclass.getFlower returns a flower object - only with fields(not functionality).
I want to return the Flower and record what the user has accessed in the object.
I tried returning a webservice complient in interface to the object's instead of the object as a returning type of the getFlower.
But when i ran it it raised an error about a serialization failure.

Yes,
but it doen't matter.
If I want to return an object only with data, it's possible using serialization.
I want to maintain the logging functionality which requires a connection to the server.
It is not a problem if I expose an assembly but the trick is doing it with a web service that has a nested interface.
I need the web service for interoperability and keeping the deployment simple.
I don't want to rely on the client to have a .net framework installed (or Mono for linux) to avoid the deployment of a .Net assembly.

i want to redirect from the code behind (server side) C# file to a blank Page,
like about:blank on the ie;
using Response.Redirect("about:blank"); doesn't WORK!
do u have any idea??

Hi habeb
i dont think there is something available for that. but you can achieve that very easily using javascript. you can write some function like this
function openwin()
{
window.self.location='about:blank';
}
and then call this function on the click of button

You may combine function specified by gspowar with RegisterStartUpScript to run the function after the desired event has occurred, which will provide functionality euqivalent to Response.Redirect

hi guys
In my form there is one treeview which is fill from database at the time of page load. And when user select any node from tree then information of that node will be displayed on gridview on right side.
And in grid view i have button field so when user click that button then i am passing control to next page with help of response.redirect and passing id of that node, where detail information is given.
when i am coming back to the original page then that tree is again loaded and all information will gone so i want to retain that state from where i went to next page of detail information
Is there any property so that i can save state of my form????

I dont know but there is no space between the "Result5)" and 'values' keyword. was it by mistake?

Also in the code you have not opened the connection. Was this by mistake or purposely not mentioned in your post ?

Are you using an Access database? Then you haven't set write permission on the file for the user account that is running the code.

The ASP.NET code is usually run under the IIS_WPG or ASPNET account.

Are you using Access Database?
Check if its read only.
It should not be readonly.
