how to get the text from textbox if it is textbox. Because i could not find any specific property like text to get its value.

OK...
i did a sample code (vb script) for what u want but u need to convert it to C#
first add a panel and add the dynamic text boxes to that panel
then do this

Dim ctl As Control<br />
For Each ctl In Me.Panel1.Controls<br />
If TypeOf ctl Is TextBox Then<br />
<br />
'Whatever code u like <br />
Dim str As String<br />
str = CType(ctl, TextBox).Text()<br />

Guess this should solve ur problem

I tried. My C# coding is :
foreach (Control ctl in this.PlaceHolder1.Controls)

string strr = ctl.
Response.Write(strr);
}
In the bold part there is no specific (.Text) to get its value. But there is .ID propety which gives its name. Any idea reg. this.

I don't know yahoo upload. But considering how the web works and all, I would say that they are using Java there...

You need to do this with javascript.....basically, (and without giving the game away too much ) you need to manipulate the object's .style.left / .style.top properties (so the usual way to do it is to use a DIV with POSITION:Absolute)...
You'll also need to hook up some onmousedown, onmouseup handlers, and an onmousemove handler...

hw r u all, i have a prblm in datagrid,i have three dataset from different queries and assign to one datagrid.the problm is that whn i assing a one dataset to the grid the data in the grid is not shown properly.
i mean the first dataset data is come in the first row,secnd dataset data is come in the second row and the third dataset data is come in the third row.(all dataset have one row record)
Bt i wnt to show the whole data in one row.
ds.merge(ds1)
ds.merge(ds2)
datagrid.datasource=ds
databind()

I think you have to join your tables. So that you can use only one dataset.

There is no implementation for the message box in asp.net like vb.net desktop application
instead u need to use the "window.open" for opening a new window
"window.alert" for messages and "window.confirm" for checking yes/no messges

You can't use a MessageBox in ASP.NET, as that would show up on the server, and the server side of a web application does not have a user interface. Use a Javascript alert:
window.alert('The message.');

You can not do this in asp.net.
You have to use Javascript to do display an alert message.
and the function is->Alert("Message")

Hi,
In my website, I need to give a popdown menu to the user for various options.
Suppose, the menu options ar as follows :-
Home View Records Reports Exit
1 - Batch 3 - Error
2 - Summary 4 - Valid
5 - Dropped
Where Home and Exit are independent links with no sub menus whereas View Records has sub menu 1 & 2 and Reports has sub menu 3,4 & 5
How do I create this using the new ASP.NET 2.0 menu control. I also need to implement role based security in this. For eg. if a particular menu item is not accessible to a particular role, then either that menu item should be disabled or preferably not rendered at all.
I will be using this control for the 1st time, so pls guide me in how to proceed.
