Well, that depends on your SQL version. I tend to use Enterprise Manager and add the user and permissions via the usual manner.
Google will provide specific details for your SQL version.

the business rule is that whenever i click the Category then all its members(Checkboxes) should get selected . Please tell me how to do that ?

Hi!
One way is to call a function when the categorycheckbox is changed that does something like this. This assumes that all the checkboxes for one category is in the same container (ex. div)
function CheckAllBoxes(){
var mycheckboxes = document.getElementById("mycheckboxcontainer").getElementsByTagName('input');
for(var i=0; i<mycheckboxes.length; i++){
mycheckboxes[i].checked = true;
}
}

hello everyone
i am ajay.
i am facing a problem while debugging my web application developed in asp.net
error is
"error while trying to run the project.Unable to start debugging on the web server.you do not have previleges to debug the web server process"
i have gone through the microsoft solution for this error,still have the same problem.
as the error says its an error of user rights.i have tried following resolutions...........
1. i m the part of the debugger users group on my machine.
2. asp.net debugging checkbox is enabled in project's properties dialog box..
wht to do??????
any suggetion

i tried ur solution.
i checked the asp server side debugging in IIS->website->properties->virtual directory->configuration->debugging->enable asp server side script debugging
But still getting the error
"unable to start debugging on the web server"
wht next......
1.debug is set to true in compilation section of web.config file
2.asp.net debugging checkbox is enabled

Have you verify that it is in debug mode not in release in the IDE.

although i m able to run without debugging(ctrl+F5)
but not able to debug.

Not your user has to be in the debugger group, ASPNET user has to be in this group check if you have it .

I developed project regarding software request where user will submit request for software over online.After user submitting the form ,the software should be installed on the user system but it should not be download able.I am planning to use wpkg software which will be useful for implementation of software installation online over windows workstations.So can anyone give me the rough sketch if i need to implement for all types of workstation.

hi all,
I need to extract only the html link tags like the below
i need to extract this tag. i used the following regular expression to filter this.
Regex r = new Regex("[^\\\"]*)\\\")|(?<url>[^\\s]* ))/>");
it works fine.
but what if there are no titles?
so i need to just extract the entire string starting with the link tag.

HTML coding part:

I have a button (asp:button), after click, i wan to show the data in the textbox. I'm quite confusing with server site and client site.
Below are several ways I have tried but fail:
1. use Me.txtid.text = "abcdef" under Private Sub button_Click in page1.aspx.vb, but it fail to show "abcdef" in the textbox.
2. at Private Sub Page_Load, put in coding below:
if me.ispostback then
me.txtid.text = request("id")
end if
at Private Sub button_click, put in coding below:
response.redirect ("page1.aspx?id=abcdef")
What should I do? Somebody please help me...

You can pass <asp:button id="button1" runnat="server">
that is

only to <asp:textbox runnat="server" id="textbox1"> (Server side textbox)
You cannot pass to (This is client side textbox)

you can use javascript to establish this.
onClick = " document.getElementById('txtid).value = 'abcdef';"
add the above statement in the HTML code of your button.

this is the query i m usings and the data type is string for all of them 0

I get the following error.

You need to change the file permissions on the database file so that the user account used to run the code (usually IIS_WPG or ASPNET) has write permission to the file.

Open the propertied for the file, go to the Security tab, add the accound if it doesn't exist, check the Modify checkbox.
If you have simple file sharing enabled, you have to disable that first (in the folder options in Explorer) to get the Security tab.
