What exactly do you mean by "not working"? What error message do you get?
You can try to reregister ASP.NET in IIS using aspnet_regiis.exe -i

Hey Folks,
I'm trying to get a name and description to store with a stream I'm writing to a database. I thought It would be easy to query the user with a dialog box to get the name and description just before I save all of it to the database. Unfortunately I can't fiqure out how to do that.

It means that you can not interact with the user in the server code, any interaction is done in the browser. If you want to ask the user anything, you have to put it in the response that is sent to the browser, and then handle the answer from the user in the next request.

Guys,
I have a web based 3-tier application in Asp.net 1.1 and Sql server
2000. We have decided to go from 1.1 to version 2.0 and SQL 2005 as the backend .
I am very confused about which codes go where... Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I have the data layer and business layer classes for each object used
in my application in a separate class project (C#) in version 1.1.
I was wondering if I have to put all the data layer classes(with methods
to access stored procedures) in App_Code directory. I understand that
the App_Code contents get compiled dynamically. So, is it ok to put the
entire datalayer for the application into this directory?
If not, how do I organize the data layer and business layer classes? Please note i am refering data access layer in Buzz layer through dll reference.
I appreciate any advice and direction with links to articles or books.

Refer asp.net.
And AJAX is a tech used for async call to server. Async means without page post back you can call server code. E.g you need to fill different dropdownlist without post back.
In classic ASP time, we do the same by using HttpInit.
In both the cases, from page you call javascript and from javascript you create server page request and as a coder your control the response.
This is one of the feature of AJAX toolkit, but many more. So please refer AJAX on asp.net.
I hope this gives u some idea...

hi friend's i am dealing with datagrid ,i am using item templte to show data
I use a table in one item templete and in that item templete i have 3 rows 5 columns. i have 3 buttons inside that itemtemplet itself .
I want to edit the content inside datagrid using on that buttonclick event.
how to do that.
Initially i took edit templete and edit command to update records.the problem
is doing with this is if i took edit command then edit button comes in next column and i want edit button inside same column between records
please tell me how to do this

I am trying to develop an intranet site and using App_Code built in folder to place my Business classes etc. I am getting below issues under below listed scenario:
a) In App_Code folder i have two Folders
1) BL contains class1.vb (having methods say A,B,C)
2) UT contain class2.vb (having methods say D,E,F)
b) In Class1.vb i have written something like
Public Sub ReadMsg()
Dim objclass as new class2
objclass.E
End Sub
c) web.config file is as below

My Problem
1) I can't use method of class2 in class1 ?????? i.e step b
