Sounds like you want to use the google maps API.
If you have a bitmap and you zoom in, you will never have details, google maps loads more and more detailed bitmaps, it doesn't just zoom in on the one.

I added xml file to Visual C# 2005 Express project so it is embedded to a
dll file.
In code I need to assign this file contents to a string like:
string str= filetostr("myxml.xml")
How to implement this ?

I've done something similar once with a XML Schema file.
Stream stream = this.GetType().Assembly.GetManifestResourceStream("Troschuetz.BirthdayManager.BirthdayManager.xsd");
XmlDocument xmlDocument = new XmlDocument();
xmlDocument.Load(stream);
This code was inside the main form of my windows application assembly to which the file "BirthdayManager.xsd" was added as resource. I had to prefix it with the default namespace of this project "Troschuetz.BirthdayManager".

thank you.
Stream stream = GetType().Assembly.
GetManifestResourceStream
("myprojnamespace.DefaultReport.xml");
works ok.
How to convert returned stream to string ?
I tried
string lcString = stream.ReadToEnd();
but got error
//Error 2 'System.IO.Stream' does not contain a definition for 'ReadToEnd'

Try using ToString() method of XmlDocument object.

Create a StreamReader or StringReader object to raed the Xml. Both class should have a constructor taking a Stream instance.

If you search CP, there's a program in an article, it's called Expresso. It's awesome for building Regex with.

Hello again,
I want to make an installation wizard to my project, I mean that if I run this installation file I'll see a nice installation wizard that will install my project on other computers.
How can I do that?

If you're using Visual Studio simply create a Setup project.

Where can I find the setup project option?
SnaidiS(Semion)
|
|
|
|
|
In the menu "File>New>Project.." so the "New Project" wizard appears. On the left side there should be a project type called "Other project types" with nested project type "Setup and deployment". Choose this one and you should be able to create a setup project.
Note: As I have a VS in german language the given names may not be 100% correct, but they should at least be similar to the actual ones.

But if I already have preapared project should I write him again now?
SnaidiS(Semion)
|
|
|
|

No you do not need to write the project again. Create the setup project in the same solution as the project you want to deploy. Easiest way would be clicking on the solution item in the project explorer and in the opening context menu choose "Add>New Project..". The rest of the procedure is the same as described in my previous post.
Also take a look at this link on MSDN to learn more about deploying your application with the help of VS: Deploying Applications[^]

What if I have completed project and I want to make setup wizard-should I start again a new project and rewrite him there?

How do i disable the a toolstripmenuItem of menustrip in an MDI form from the child form.
or
can i access the toolstripmenuItem of MDI form from child form saying some thing like

Any help is appreciated

Assuming your MDI form is named MdiForm and the ToolStripMenuItem is accessible via a public property named MytoolstripmenuItem the following should work:
((MdiForm) this.MdiParent).MytoolstripmenuItem

perfect answer . .
|
|
|
|
|
In my windows app I have a MDI parent form and a child form.
In my parent form i have Menustrip control with toolstripmenu items File and windows
File further has subItems open and exit
In child form i have a Menustrip with toolstipmenu item File.
This File item has a subItem save and fileItem has the following setting
fileItem.MergeAction = MergeAction.MatchOnly;
Now automatic merging of the child and parent forms is going rightly
after merging my Parent form menustrip has this
File with subitems ---open ,save and exit
But the problem is my child form is also showing a menustrip with File Item. However it doesnt show save subitem of the File, which is rightly merged to parent File item.
I dont understand why the File Item is being shown in the child form. The child form is not supposed to show any menustrip as everything from child form is automatically merged to the parent forms menustrip.
Any help is appreciated,
yojimbo

dont worry all i had to do was set the childs menustrip.visible = false

I have a program has a few things that it gets from online that i want to use. I'm not sure if it puts it together itself, or if it simply downloads one site, changed based on the search. Is there a program that could tell me eveything that my computer downloads?
