Hi All,
Can anyone please help me on page design and integrate
master page, tabmenu and gridview control?
I have page that :
1. On top should be Tab menu like HOME,PROCESS,HR
2. When u click on PROCESS TAB, On Leftside of same
page should display PROCESS TREEVIEW WITH SOME
TREENODE-CHILD NODE DATA
3.When u click on child node, ON CENTER OF SAME PAGE,
should display gridview control (full-featured
gridview control)
I have created individual examples of TABMENU,
Treeview and Gridview control but i can't integrate
them.
I thought I will use Frames and IBUYSPY Design
concepts BUT IN ASP.NET 2.0 IT IS NOT WISE TO USE
FRAME AND FRAMES ARE NOT SUPPORTED WELL
NOW I AM IN COMPLETE CONFUSION TO MAKE ALL PEICES TO
WORK AS ONE WEBPAGE.
PLEASE HELP.

You'd mostly like do this by creating an ASPX that takes a product ID and generates it's layout using server controls that are databound to data on the product from your database.

Your only real chance of a free control would be source forge, if CP doesn't have anything.
It does look[^] like there are a couple of options, tho.

Hi
I have created a webservice with a simple function HelloWorld. It works fine in the client application.
How do I change the default url of the webservice that points to the asmx file? I know that I can change in Reference.cs in the client application. But I want to set the default url other than localhost to point to a server where my asmx file is.
I am using VS 2003, C#.
Thanks a lot in advance
Muthu.

Hi all,
I have a datagrid which contains an expertise column and i also store it in an arraylist. I want that the arraylist be sorted accordingly when the expertise column is sorted.How do i achieve this?
Thanks in Advance
|
|
|
|
|
In C# 2.0, you can write a function object that specifies the sort order. I'm not sure if an arraylist allows this, I doubt it. This means you'll have to do your own sort.

i hav followed all the procedure to download ajax toolkit but givs an eror relating System.Web.extension .. ys that???
|
|

It's hard to say. HAve you installed the core ajax toolkit, or are you trying to install the controls and don't have the toolkit installed ? Where do you get this error, and waht is it's exact text ? Have you tried typing in the EXACT error message in to google ? That often yields helpful results.

I have a datalist bound to the following sql data source;
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1" runat="server" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:RemoteSqlServer %>"
SelectCommand="SP_ProductSearch" SelectCommandType="StoredProcedure" SortParameterName="SortParam">
<SelectParameters>
<asp:Parameter Name="IntroducerID" Type="Int32" DefaultValue="0" />
<asp:QueryStringParameter Name="PermutationID" QueryStringField="Permutation" Type="Int32" />
</SelectParameters>
</asp:SqlDataSource>
The two provided parameters are required by the stored procedure. There is a third parameter required named SortParam which is used to define how the results are ordered. How can I alter this on the click of various button inside the header of the datalist. I can't seem to find out a way how. Thanks
|
|
|
|
|
The expectation with data sources is that you'll select all the data, and then the control will handle sorting. You can probably still do this. To pass this parameter, you probably need to write the code to call the proc, etc.

The stored procedure that is used to populate the data source has a parameter 'Sort Param' that is used to sort the results. Therefore upon click events within the datalist, which I have already built and are triggering fine, I wish to simply change the parameter that orders results and rebind the source to the datalist. Surely this simple operation is possible.
What exactly does SortParameterName do and how are you supposed to use it?
