i am fetching some data from SQL based on JOINs [from 2 tables] and then utilizing that XML file and transforming through XSLT and now i need another JOIN and then to compare some fields returned from 1st Query to 2nd Query and then need to display that data through XSLT. how can i achieve.

Hello!
I'm trying to use an XSL stylesheet to transform an XML document into a CSV file. This works
quite fine, except one problem: XSL outputs an XML header:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
"Item 1","Sub-Item 1.1","SubItem 1.2"
"Item 2","Sub-Item 2.1","SubItem 2.2"
"Item 3","Sub-Item 3.1","SubItem 3.2"
"Item 4","Sub-Item 4.1","SubItem 4.2"
Is there any XSL command that prevents the output of the first line?

XSLT <xsl:output> Element[^] You're looking for the omit-xml-declaration attribute.

I have a method that takes two XmlElement objects. I want to find out if the XmlSchemaSet I have a reference to allows the first element to be a child of the second element.
What's the best way to do queary a schema to find out if an element type can be a valid child of another element type?

First, you need a development environment with Visual Studio .Net.
Second, you need to decide which language you would like to learn first. Once you get that figured out, you need to get some books. Check Amazon.com for books on your desired topic and be sure to read the customer reviews.
As for C# and the .Net Framework, I highly recommend two books:
Microsoft Visual C# Step by Step - this is an excellent book for learning the C# language.
CLR via C# - This is quite possibly the best technical book I've ever read and is an absolute requirement for anyone who wants to develop .net applications.
Also, if you want people to reply to your questions, it is best to pay close attention to the forum you are posting in and keep your questions to the specified topic. This forum is for XML/XSL related questions.

What exactly do you mean with that? Do you want to read an XML file? AFAIK this is not posssible.

Yes, it is possible.
You can use AJAX to download/upload xml data from/to remote server.
If you want XML parsers, google for "Sarissa" and "XML for SCRIPT" Javascript libraries.

Hi, I'm creating wordml file with xsltransform. I need to get some images from my localhost. When I write http://localhost/images/...jpg in the wordml file there is no problem. But I wrote in the xsl like: <xsl:value-of select="string('http://localhost/images/....jpg')"> she says "Missing mandatory attribute 'select'. In the same way, I wrote <xsl:value-of select="url('http://localhost/images/....jpg')"> same thing happened. How can I get these images? Thanks...

So why don't you just write the url into the wordml file.?
