Can someone help me? is there a way The windows login can be saved automatically into database whenever a user uses my website? I'm working with datagrid and c# in ASP.Net.

But when I try the example on a new webform I get domain/username. But it's not inserted into the database my problem is getting it into the database I have a row where I want it to be saved so that every one can read who wrote a particular message. How should I do it. I have this code writen for the column:

Help needed urgently from IIS Experts out there:
I have Windows 2003 Standard Edition server installed with IIS 6.0 configured. I've loaded my web application (Remedy 5.1.2) on IIS and it works fine by accessing it locally from the webserver. However, accessing it from another client using its web address, I get the following error:

This problem may occur when anonymous access authentication has not been turned on.
This may resolves youre problem
1. Start Microsoft Internet Information Services Manager (IIS). (To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.)
2. Expand your server.
3. Expand Web Sites.
4. Expand your Web site.
5. Expand bin.
6. In the bin folder, right-click Remedy.dll, and then click Properties.
7. On the File Security tab, click Edit in the Authentication and access control area.
8. In the Authentication Methods dialog box, click to select the Enable anonymous access check box, and then click OK.
9. Click OK to close the Remedy.dll Properties dialog box.
10. On the File menu in Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, click Exit.
Or it's maybe youre webapplication's folder security.

Hi,
in my code I am deleting file.
But it's giving me error as below.
Dim fileInfo as new fileInfo(FilePath)
fileInfo.Delete()
The process cannot access the file 'test.txt' because it is being used by another process.
how to solve this...?

File is in process while you trying to delete it
Check all objects replated to that file are closed use try catch and finally block

There is no simple way to remove a file that is in use. You can make an errormessage appear to the user to explain to him why it failed so he can close down the application.
Visual Studio can't evaluate this, can you?

Use the SelectedIndexChanged event of the DropDownList to populate your ListView based on the SelectedItem of the DropDownList.

if u want to take projectmembers fron the database who is working under some specified project then take selectedvalue/selectedindex and specify in the query vth condition "where".then use for loop by declaring one datarow
and then add data in the dataset to listox...Do all this coding in DropDownlist_selectedIndexChanged(...)method...

Don't do it. If you try and mess with the user's browser by disabling it's functionality you will end up annoying your users. Plus, there are really easy ways to get around whatever solution you come up with.

Hello
I created a web-page. There is a table, where hyper links are (in one cell) side by side and top of one another. I have made hyper links look like small boxes. IE shows them as shown in visual studio, but Firefox shows then very close together and smaller than in visual studio. In Firefox bottom edge of hyper link is little bit on the below one. Firefox cut the hyper link "box" after text part but IE shows them as width is set in properties. How to fix the layout (spacing between hyper links) and hyper link box size?
