You need to clear the session values i.e. the one which you are storing in session and using it to check the login status of the user.

I have an ASPX page which contains grid,submit button and textbox. When some one enters text in text box and presses the submit button it will be added to database and will show in grid. All these are working fine. But problem started when I hit refresh button on browser. Suddenly already inserted data added once more. Any way to avoid this ?

Actually what happens is when the page is getting posted back due to some event then it stores the event which posted back the data so when you clicks refresh then again the same event is getting fired that is why you are getting the same recorded again. I too haven't found a good solution for this problem. What you can do as a workaround is to reload the page again.

How can this ? if you are writing the code in Button click event then this should not happened. I think the data is getting added in datagrid only

I don't have the code rite now with me., You can try the following scenario.
1. Create one text box, button,and one grid.
2. Write the following in buttons onclick event
button onclick()
{
}
You could see the newly added data on grid. Now press refresh. Browser will show one warning message. Press ok and check the result

Hi
Just wondering if any one can help me on this simple question.
When developing in .NET 2.0 can components such as details view and gridview be used just as they would with SQL Server 2005.
I cannot see why they wouldnt as it is just an SQL Connection but I may be wrong - has any one done this/have any knowledge on this topic?

Are you questioning why use something like the new sqlDataSource? I was say that the sqldatasource takes you a lot farther with a lot less code with a control like the gridview. Still if you have something simple that you don't need paging you don't need sorting, then yes it might be better to just use a sqlconnection with a sqlcommand doing a dataready to populate your gridview.

I have an asp.net webform which is exporting a crystal report in to Excel format. But what I need is, I would like to format the excel cells so that it should adjust the cell size or wrap the cell according to the data given in it by using VB.Net. I want to Get the name of a user of my web site so I'm using this code but I'm getting errors:
string DomainUser = System.Security.Principal.WindowsIdentity.GetCurrent().Name.Replace("\\","/");
System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry ADEntry = new System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry("WinNT://"+DomainUser);
string Fullname = ADEntry.Properties("FullName").Value;
and the error is:
1:The type or namespace name 'DirectoryServices' does not exist in the class or namespace 'System' (are you missing an assembly reference?)
2:The type or namespace name 'ADEntry' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
What could be the problem?

Hello friends..I have two textboxes on a form accepting url and submit button.when user clicks on submit button, it checks
1) whether the textboxes r empty
2) both textboxes must have same url
3) url must be between 2 to 25 chars..etc
if all these conditions r true then it redirects to another page..
I have taken server controls (textboxes and submit )..and try to write javascript on onclick of that button..but it gives error..like' ")" expected '. what is the easiest way to do that?
