And how do you have those variables formatted (e.g., s or su) in the watch window?

Hi all,
I am using Application Verifier to test my application (VC++ 2005) on Win XP.
I added my application to Application Verifier. But when i ran my application, either it gave first chance exception or it didn't run at all.
What may be the problem?

In my experience, the problem is that AppVerifier is a waste of disk space.
A better appoach IMHO (and it's what we did) is to install Vista in a virtual machine and test on that.

If you don't know what it's for, why do it then?

GN_CONTEXTMENU seems to be a PocketPC/Mobile thing only. Are you developing on that platform?

hello,
Can anybody supply code to do remote login to my machine. Let me explain the picture: I have some utility running in a remote machine in the network, which will take care of communication with my local machine. (First of all, please let me know whether it is possible to start a utility or windows service without even logging into the machine). I want to send the key combination Alt+Ctrl+Delete and my username and password, following that. Is it possible in VC++(Better if not using MFC, just using Win32)
Thanks to all comments in advance.

Is LogonUser() what you are looking for? I suspect not, but I thought I'd offer. You might need to dive into some RPC documentation.

Will it be possible to start a service, without logging into the machine??I mean, after the machine boots up, the service should start running, before the user log in. I think, if we add that in Start up items, it will start only when we do a log in. Pls give me a reply..

No, a service needs to "login" to the machine just like any user would. It does not have to "login" as a user, though. Therein lies the difference.

Correct. Search MSDN for service-related examples. There are also articles here at CP.

Hi
I have a modeless dialog which i use as a wait screen, with a progress bar on it
so when something is happening in my application, the wait screen is displayed and the progress bar moves across giving the indication of how much time is left to wait
i have added a cancel button to the modeless dialog, so when the user clicks it it stops the process
im using this
ShowModelessDaig();
for (int f=0; f< mylist.GetItemCount(); f++)
{
// do some stuff
// Update Progress bar
}
CloseModelessDiag();
my problem is that i cant seem to click the cancel button on the modeless dialog, for testing purposes i was trying to display a messagebox when cancel was being clicked, but the OnBnClicked function is not even being called
How can i set focus to the cancel button
i hope all that makes sense and is clear
Simon
