Is it possible to get a file that would patch up all the security holes on a window xp sp2 pc in one go?
The reason I ask is that this pc doesn't have an internet connection so I can't use the update service.

Well then all you can do is wait for Service Pack 3 in 2008. But if your pc isn't connected to the internet, then you really don't have anything to worry about.

See this KB article[^] for how to obtain ISO DVD images of all the updates since January 2006. Note that each image (one per month) contains all versions of all patches for all products in all languages.
The patches are individually downloadable as files. Go to Security Bulletin Search[^] and search for "Windows XP Professional", "Windows XP Service Pack 2" and check the box "Show only bulletins that contain updates that have not been replaced by a more recent update". Then follow the links to the bulletin articles themselves, and download the updates from those links.

Hello All,
I need to add a short cut icon to launch my custom application from
Start-->All Programs.
To elaborate, when I click on Start-->All Program,
I should be able to see the name of my applcation like many others already are (Microsoft Office etc.), clicking on icon should make me launch my application.I do not have any idea how to achieve this?

Key loggers can usually be detected using an Adware remover. I would suggest Ad-Aware.

Are you the owner/operator of the cafe's PCs or a customer using them? If the former there're lots of tools available. If the latter you're probably SOL because the machine should be locked down to the point you can't download and install any software.

Like I told you in your OTHER post of the same question, you have no way of knowing and no way of testing for this. If security is that big a deal, you simply have no choice but to NOT use a public machine.

Trying to get a Windows VM together that will be used on multiple machines. I want to store it on an mobile HD and plug it into various Host systems.
How can I do this without requiring reactivation every time (connectivity could be limited)? Is there a edition/version of XP designed for this?

I would have thought the VM's "hardware" is abstract enough that you wouldn't need to reactivate when moving the VHD around from PC to PC? 
Have you thought about trying Microsoft's Virtual Server instead? We have 2 VMs on the vertual server and anyone on the network can use Remote Desktop or Virtual Remote Client to access it.

I'd hoped so too but it noticed the Intel to AMD switch  It should be back to the original PC within 3 days so may not need activation.
Yeah RDP is a possibility but I am aiming not to rely on the network.

Which VM(s) (ie qemu, xen, VMware, VirtualPC, etc) have you tried already?
Another option for you, depending upon what you're trying to run, might be for you to 1) install Linux or BSD in your VM, and 2) install WINE in your VM. Assuming that your application(s) will run in WINE.

VMWare - Virtual PC is an option but as it doesn't emulate the processor it would probably have the same problem.

Hello,
Is it possible to login to a remote PC as its Local System Administator?
Example, we have PC1 and PC2 in a network. In PC1 I'm logged in as administrator remotely from my PC. So now I have PC1's desktop in my desktop (remote desktop using Dameware). From this remote desktop's Start - Run I'm trying to access a folder in PC2, but I get a prompt for username and password. If I enter PC2's local Administrator User name/Password, is it possible to access that folder in PC2?
PC1 has Windows Server
PC2 and my PC has Windows XP

You can do that, if the system is set up to allow the admin account to log in remotely. (It's a setting somewhere in group policy.) I don't think that has been the default setting since Win 2K.
