GDay everyone,
I have a problem with Gridview that I really need someone's help.
I'd like to get data of the record at which user clicks on the select hyperlink of that record in GridView. I need to save it and use it to populate data of that record into another form.
Please give me a solution.

You need two pages, right ? One full of radio buttons and one full of links for the button you pressed. What's not clear is, how are the links stored ? In a database ? XML ? hard coded ? A radio button list page is pretty trivial, and then each button needs, on click, to divert to the second page. The two ways to handle this are a cross page postback, or putting a variable on the URL, so that the second page knows which URLs to show. Again, it's not clear from the question where they come from.

OK, so create one page with the radio buttons and have it redirect to the other page, and the other page would take a parameter, telling it which group of hard coded links to display.

I noticed that the framework wraps the viewstate hidden input element into a DIV element.
Can anyone explain why it is done this way and how and if I can get rid of the div?
Can I place the viewstate hidden input at the bottom of the page?

To be honest I have to serious reason.
I just like being in full control of what markup is delivered to the site visitor and little things like this one just annoy me.

Why don't you disable viewstate for the page ?

Without this wrapper div ASP.NET wouldn't be able to produce valid XHTML Strict markup.
As for the custom viewstate hidden input placing - I don't think it is impossible to do this, but should be complicated enough to not be worth the effort.

You need a javascript calendar, as that's the language run on the client. There are tons on the web.

It needs to connect to the database, how else are you going to know which dates were booked or not??

It needs to be javascript, otherwise you can just use a datagrid and postback on each click.
So, the answer is that it needs to be set up in the C# code, to show the right dates as booked, or use AJAX. It's possible that none of the calendar controls out there will do it out of the box, you may have to modify one

When a property is booked, the date is saved. So when the next rentor comes along and wants to see when that property is booked, then a calendar (like in the link) is displayed to the user. You understand??

Consider that I have a very long function( not in line, in execution time). I am calling this function on pageload. So page is taking too much time to load beacuse of the function. How to make a waiting indication for the user or is it possible to use threading and do the long process on background. If so how I will show the contents on page ? Because page will be loading first before function finished it's execution ? Pls help

Call it using AJAX, and update the page when it's done. Show an animated gif to show that you're still loading, as your page until the AJAX call returns.
