Hi,

Add Three template fields(for example label) to the grid view.
Bound the first 2 template fields to your table fields.

Then add "RowDataBound" Event handler to the grid view.
Add following code snippet into your RowDataBound event handler

  If (gr.DataItemIndex <> -1) Then 'Not a header cell
    Dim cell1 As Label = gr.FindControl("Label1") 'First cell's label ID
    Dim cell2 As Label = gr.FindControl("Label2") 'Second cell's label ID

Hi
I am getting the system time.I check for a particular condition and depending upon that condition i should display time in either 12 hour format or 24 hour format along with PM or AM.

Can anybody tell me how to get time in 12 hour format and 24 hour format?

It's very urgent.

Are you looking for something like this:
dateTime.ToString("yyyy/MM/dd HH:mm:ss")

so if you do dateTime.ToString(g) you would get 08/17/2000 16:32

Look at the help for the format command.

Basically

TestStr = Format(TestDateTime, "hh:mm tt")
would return 3:55 pm

TestStr = Format(TestDateTime, "HH:mm")
would return 15:55

Hi,
In my application, there a label on left side and textbox on right side. Now if the culture is 'ar-SA' then textbox should shift to left side and label to right side. U can align the Text of the label and textbox by setting the 'dir' attribute as 'rtl' but u cannoth shift the control...How can this be done?

Kindly help me out here...

Hi,
You can done this at code behind
Provide id=htmlid runat="server" to head tag

<br />
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" id="htmlid" runat=server><br />

From code behind use

<br />
    htmlid.Attributes.Add("dir", "rtl")<br />

to set attribute.

Hi, I did as you said..but that did not shift the 'position' of the controls...the label should be on right side and textbox should shift to left side...like the arabic way of entering data...

Hi!
As everybody know IE7 supports XMLHttpRequest as Native Script Object .
for this i have an ajax application in which onclicking button, a select element is filled.the folowing code is working on Mozila,Netscape & Firefox but not on IE7.

if(window.XMLHttpRequest)

oXmlHttp=new XMLHttpRequest();
oXmlHttp.onload=Handler;
oXmlHttp.onerror=Handler;
return oXmlHttp;
}

in IE7 XMLHttpRequest() object is created but select element doesnot filled while in case of Mozilla it is working corrctly. what is problem?

I assume that you have got a webspace, and FTP address to upload. Then do the following

1. Copy all your aspx, dll's, global files and config files to the server through FTP
2. Set up the connection string that you may use for DB connection.

Well, I guess there are a couple of things that need to come together.
First do you have a web server?
Is this an Intranet web app (only on your network?)
Or is this an Internet web app (the world can see it?)
Are you using asp.net 2.0 or 1.1?
There are several ways to copy or publish your web app files to a web server. They are different based off which version of .net you are using and some things like are front page extensions loaded on your web server.
Next you would need admin rights to the web server.
Make sure the correct version of the .net framework is installed on the webserver.
Once you copy the web app over you need to set up your site IIS manager.
To get to iis manager right click on my computer and click manage.
expand services and applications.
Expand IIS Manager
Select the web sites folder right click and new -> web site
You need to know where your code has been copied. And you need to know what the URL for your site will be.
NOTE if this is an internet app you will need to register your URL.
It is common to have your source files in c:\Inetput\"webappname"
Once the web app is set up you need to make sure it is pointed to the correct version of the .net framework.
If you right click on the web site and go to properties.
Click on the documents tab make sure your default page exists. It is common to have a defaul.aspx.
Next start the web site. Right click on the site and click start.
Finally, you need to set up a DNS entry so that your Intranet knows where your website exists.

Anyway, that is a quick overview.

Never did i think quit not possible as you should have access to Gmail server to do same

I am new to ASP.net. after create an virtual directory, then i got the following error.

"configuraing the website "http://localhost/winsec1\... " to asp.net 2.0 failed. You may need to manually configure this site for asp.net 2.0 inorder for your site to run correctly"

please help how to solve it. Thanks in advance

Go to IIS(type inetmgr in Run)

Go to the virtual directory you have created. Right click on the Virtual directory -> properties -> ASP.NET tab -> Change the Asp.net Version to 2.0.50727

Then Refresh virtual directory

If that was true, there would be no solution, but I believe that you just haven't tried the correct way of doing it... Wink | ;)
