I am getting the popup with error "Internet explorer cannot download default.aspx . IE was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." When I searched for the error in google, some have said that it happens if the site is SSL configured and have no-cache meta tag. The solution they offered is to remove no-cache tag. I did remove the meta tag but still it is giving the same error. The site is running on ASP.NET 2.0. Please let me know how I could solve this. The most sensible thing to do is probably to just kill a session when someone logs in again, otherwise they can be locked out while waiting for a timeout. To do that i keep the data in the database on login and when logout i delete the data. But if there is some error and session is timeout the deletion can not be done. the session_End event of global.asax do not work.
