Hi guys.I have a page called default.aspx that is empty at this moment and I want to call a CSS file(real-estate) for the layout.But the problem is I cant seem to be able to use it properly on the page.I have tried to load it onto the App_Themes folder and created a .skin file but still.I cant seem to do it rite.My config file is changed aswell to show this css but it doesnt.
What am I doing wrong??
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %>
<title>Default
Then my web config file:
<configuration>
<appsettings>
<connectionstrings>
<system.web>
<compilation debug="true" strict="true" explicit="true">
<pages stylesheettheme="real-estate">
<namespaces>
<clear>
<add namespace="System">
<add namespace="System.Collections">
<add namespace="System.Collections.Specialized">
<add namespace="System.Configuration">
<add namespace="System.Text">

<add namespace="System.Web.Caching">
<add namespace="System.Web.SessionState">

The only tag you are calling is the body. Do you have a body {} defined in you css? To be honest, I don't know much about .skins, but in my experience nothing happens unless you call it. So where are you calling your skin file. I think you should post the contents of your css file.... might give us a better picture.

I have a body on my css file yes.
Here is my body.
body {
margin: 0;
scrollbar-face-color: #d0d0d0;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #fff;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #e1f2f2;
scrollbar-3dlight-color: #e1f2f2;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #000;
scrollbar-track-color: #fff;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #1b1e25;
}
I dont understand why u say that "The only tag I call" is the body..>>>>

Because your page is blank. Nothing is called - except the body which happens with the body tag.
The form tags is not displayable and does not support class/style parameters.
Why oh Why!

The reason you did not see anything in the first version of your css is that the scroll bar stuff is not valid, standard CSS styles. Therefore, they would be ignored.
Please don't post experiments cause I don't want to teach you how to code. Nor, I am sure, do most of the others. Learn CSS and only post real problems.
Why, oh why!

Hi All,
Why ShowModalDialog and ShowModelessDialog do not work in Windows XP with SP2 as compare to windows 2000? What is the solution or alternative to the situation?
One place I need to pass parameters in querystring. I can do this with myurl?paramkey=paramvalue
Second place, I need to pass information in an object to the dialog and want to keep dialog at the top. How do I do this?
Thanks

Hi
Wondering if you fine fellows can reccomend a charting/graphing library for me to use. Doesn't need to be dynamic, don't mind paying a bit for it altho a free one would be nice Licence needs to be able to be distributed freely when we have used it though. Needs to do simple bars and pie charts. We were using simplechart but that doesn't allow us a lot of freedom to customise it.
Thanks
Ian

download free developer version of charting from
http://www.dotnetcharting.com/download.aspx

I seen that one before, it puts me off because the licencing issues aren't what we are looking for. We need something that we can pay once and distribute freely there after. We have a number of clients all running the same applications on their own servers so the licencing offers on .netcharting really wouldn't be useable for us.
thanks for the input tho
Cheers

We use the Infragistic suite which has a chart control. It is a bit of a ramp up on using it though. Once ramped up it has quite a variety of graphs types that can be utilized.
