Thanks Amit.
Actually I already found the solution. I need to to initialize the ItemType of my Template column using user defined class and it works for me but now i am having a problem to export my datagrid to excel. I am able to export the columns which i have added in a design but there are template columns i am adding programatically and somehow its not showing in excel. May be because it is not defined in xml??

Hello everyone,
I am using Visual Studio 2005 and have some code built by both .Net Framework 2.0 and .Net Compact Framework 2.0 (two separate builds).
I want to build and test the code in both .Net Framework 3.0 and .Net Compact Framework 3.0. I can not find any guide about how to setup environment in Visual Studio 2005 to utilize .Net Framework 3.0 and .Net Compact Framework 3.0 to make builds, and setup both .Net Framework 3.0 and .Net Compact Framework 3.0 environment to test the code (new build).
Maybe it is because .Net 3.0 is too new? Any tutorials to recommend?
thanks in advance,
George

The best way is to get the Orcas beta.

Hi buddy,
Orcas beta is a good choice, do you know how to make build and test in Visual Studio 2005 with .Net 3.0? Any tutorials?

George

To my understanding you shouldn't have to:
.Net Framework 3.0 = .Net Framwork 2.0 + WPF + WWF + WCF + CardSpace.
i.e. the 2.0 components are unchanged.

Hi Abisodun,
I just want to make sure (through runnable experience) that my code can be built with .Net 3.0, test can pass in .Net 3.0. In understand and agree with you that in theory, it should work. But I need to make my hands dirty.
Do you have any detailed steps to make build/test in Visual Studio 2005?
regards,
George

Thanks Abisodun,
Are you posting the correct link? The link you posted is about Unit Test.

I'm using the CreateUserWizard control(v.2.0) for the first time and I don't quite understand how to implement additional fields into the control. In particular, how to update them in my Sql Server 2005 database.
I created my asp.net membership tables using the aspnet_regsql.exe tool. I then created a CreateUserWizard control by specifying a template. So my page now has additional registration fields displayed, such as address, phone #, etc, however I don't know how to get these fields into my db table when the user clicks "Submit".
Any ideas?
Thanks.

There are also other webservers that help you run ASP.NET. After installing .NET Framework SDK, you can use Abyss Web Server from Aprellium Technologies. It supports ASP.NET and the interface is browser based.

Take a look at the Casini web Server[^]. It is lightweight and works about as good as IIS. Anything I've put on the web server, has been migrated to a true IIS box with no real hiccups. It is a nice server to use in a development environment.

Hi guys.I have a page called default.aspx that is empty at this moment and I want to call a CSS file(real-estate) for the layout.But the problem is I cant seem to be able to use it properly on the page.I have tried to load it onto the App_Themes folder and created a .skin file but still.I cant seem to do it rite.My config file is changed aswell to show this css but it doesnt.
What am I doing wrong??
<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %>
<title>Default
Then my web config file:
<configuration>

<compilation debug="true" strict="true" explicit="true">
<pages stylesheettheme="real-estate">

The only tag you are calling is the body. Do you have a body {} defined in you css? To be honest, I don't know much about .skins, but in my experience nothing happens unless you call it. So where are you calling your skin file. I think you should post the contents of your css file.... might give us a better picture.

I have a body on my css file yes.
Here is my body.
body {
margin: 0;
scrollbar-face-color: #d0d0d0;
scrollbar-highlight-color: #fff;
scrollbar-shadow-color: #e1f2f2;
scrollbar-3dlight-color: #e1f2f2;
scrollbar-arrow-color: #000;
scrollbar-track-color: #fff;
scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #1b1e25;
}
I dont understand why u say that "The only tag I call" is the body..>>>>

Because your page is blank. Nothing is called - except the body which happens with the body tag.
The form tags is not displayable and does not support class/style parameters.
Why oh Why!
