Hmm.. what do you base this on? It works just fine for me and I have seen nothing in WPF that will work on Vista but won't work on my machine.

Start rewriting it. There is no magical conversion tool to do this. If your Windows Forms app was written properly, meaning seperating Business Logic and Data Access from the Presentation Layer, all you'll have to rewrite is the Presentation Layer. But, somehow, I doubt this is going to be the case.

I imagine any image manipluation library would work, but every change you make to the image would require a roudtrip to the server and put the web server under a greater load.
As for client-side manipulation, that would require a Java-based library.

Hi,
Can anybody tell me how to add support for a new languages without ever recompiling the neutral assembly that contains all the application code.After deploying the application I created a satlite assembly for a new language and uploaded to the bin directory of the application.But if I change the application culture it is not reading the values form the new satlite assembly.

Have you placed your DLL in the bin folder, or the appropriate culture folder? For instance, suppose that you have a French resource that you want to use, this would go in the bin\Fr folder. Obviously, if you wanted to be more specific you would use a more targetted folder, e.g. using the France French location would result in the Dll going in bin\Fr-Fr.

Some short question: Where do I get the handwriting recognition service from?

But how can I activate something I do not even get offered for my XP Professional!?
Can it be downloaded somewhere? Or is it available for Tablets only?
Further: How to use the service from .NET? Are there any examples, or at least hints?

Is there any tool which can generate UML diagrams from .NET code(assembly)? Please specify for the versions supported. I searched google and got a lot of links. I need to test them and see. I thought it would be better to ask the forum as someone might have experience. Will that indicate the flow from layers also?

The reverse engineering tool is Reflector[^]. It supports an add-in model and there are a few add-ins[^] that look like they might do what you want.

Hi,
I am working with asp.net 2.0. I want to check whether the value i have entered in the text box is present in the database or not. If it is present it should not take the same value again. I cant give primary or unique constraint since it might contain many NULL values. How to do this? can i some code for this?

You could just do a query against the database and count the rows returned. Here is a pseudo-sql statement:
SELECT Count(*) FROM {YourTable} WHERE {YourField} = {YourTextBox.Text}
Where {YourTable} is the table in your database, {YourField} is the field you want to check against, and
{YourTextBox} is the textbox containing the value you are checking.
You have to do the real SQL statement yourself, I am just shedding some light for you.

when i tried to use ExecuteNonQuery it gives the error that, the value type integer cannot be converted to "system.data.sqlclient.sqldatareader"
