Hi.
I have installed Visual Studio 2005. The firts time I opened it, it prompts to select a particular windows layout. By mistake, I have selected the Visual Basic developer layout, and now I have everything changed. I mean, the workspace windows is docked at right, and I want it docked at the left side of the IDE. I want the IDE like Visual Studio 6.0!!  but by anxiety I've selected the wrong option in the first running and now I can't find how to change that selection.
Please help, I can't programm with this VB layout!!! Do you understand?

To change the VS2005 Window Layout, use following method:
1. On the Tools menu, choose Import and Export Settings.
2. On Welcome to the Import and Export Settings Wizard page, click Import selected environment settings and then click Next.
3. On the Save Current Settings page, select Yes, save my current settings, and then click Next.
4. In Which collection of settings do you want to import, select a settings collection from the list and then click Next.
5. In Which settings do you want to import, expand the list and select only the categories or category items you want to apply to your current settings.
6. Click Finish.
7. The Reset Complete page lists any errors associated with resetting your settings under Details.

yes, actually when i first tried my hands on VS2005, same thing happened to me and took 2 days to find out how to do it in MSDN...

I just migrated to 2005 a little over a week ago, but I remember this being one of the few
times I actually read the message at install time that stated how to set it back if you change
environment later. That still doesn't mean I would have been able to find it if I needed it!
The settings import/export came in handy for seting up other machines, so I saw it again anyway

Oh yes it was!. But thankx of Abhijeet I'm in heaven again.
And my old VC6.0 projects compiles fine!, (just some stupid warnings, casting warnings).

Create them like you would any other window control...CreateWindow("BUTTON", "Label", BS_RADIOBUTTON, ...).

Hi,
another possibility is to create them with the Resource editor in programming time, assigning a member variable of type Control to have access to them and then make them visible invisible with the button click.
Example:
//OnButtonClick
myRadioButton->ShowWindow (TRUE);
And afterwards can you know which is selected with:
if (myRadioButton->GetCheck ())
//Do whatever you want if selected

hi,
i have created a syntax colorising editor by usung "Scintillawnd" class and "Scilexer.dll" from the procrdure you have given .
But i want to use it for some other language(ATLAS) ,for that which procedure i have to fallow?
can i modify one of existing lexer (corresponding "*.c" file) to work according to my language synatax ? after modifying the one of existing lexer (corresponding "*.c" file) how i can include it to my project.?
or
i have to create a new lexer? if have to create which procedure i have to fallow?
please give me the solution ....i am unable to understand the procedure given in the scintilla documents .
thats why i am placing my doubt here...please help me..please...

This is all well explained in the documentation that comes with the source code of Scintilla. Basically, it is better to duplicate one existing language lexer, at best the one that best matches your new language, rename-it and include it in the project.

How can I Input different language text from a Dialog based application.
Showing "?????" as input characters.
Do building it with UNICODE prepproessor solve this problem?
Also, getting weird characters if I am reading from a file.
Using _wfopen which is the function to open a unicode file and reading the contents using fread function.
The file has some other language characters.

Set the language in
Control Panel -> Regional and language option -> Advanced.
Also in Language Tab specify Text services and language in order to have a particular language keyboard.
also #define UNICODE and _UNICODE
Save file in Unicode format.

I am working on Word object. My problem is to move the cursor position to word endings. For that i try Moveright ,Endkey ,move .... like in vc++
please help me if any one know this.
