And what did you do to investigate this error ? I mean, the message is quite clear, do you have a scriptmanager on the page already ( you obvioulsy do ) ?

No it doesn't. You can add a reference to the ajax web extensions DLL, and then add ScriptManagers to any ASP.NET website. I am currently going through my sites doing similar.
As CG said, I imagine the OP is putting more than one ScriptManager on the page.

He doesn't say this. He says he gets duplicate controls. How do you know he hasn't? I was simply saying to can add the Microsoft Ajax extensions to a non AjaxType website.

Most web pages look lousy on a hand held, precisely because there's no automatic way to make them look good, nor, indeed, can there be. Handheld sites are smaller, stripped d own versions, you need to decide what to strip, and how to lay your page out to suit.

Do one thing...
its a quite time consuming task but u will definately benifit form it...
Create a class that inherits from the page class..
and then inherit all your pages from that single class...
so now what u can do i that you can put all the common functionality on that single class, so from next time onwards u will have to make change only on one place...
I hope u got it...
Cheers.!! :->

You could perhaps read your html files, and put their contents into a literal control ?

I want to implement the running text in my website's home page. Either in a text box or list box. Can anyone of you help me out to solve this problem.
Thanks and Regards,

You mean scrolling text ? Inside an edit control ? I'm not sure that you can.

Hi,
What i meant is? If you go to any website there will be a text running in the home page. For eg.. log on to anna university website, you can see the latest news running. When you move the mouse cursor to that news it will stop. Then you can click and view the news. Like that I want to implement something in my home page.

Hariharan C

It's a small script. You can goto viewsource of that page and take that script. Alternatively you can use HTML marquee for this.

Yes, there are scripts for that. But, not in a listbox or editbox.
