Fetchez ? What's that Michael ?
Never heard of this word before (and French is my mother tongue ). Is it a brutal translation from the english word 'fetch' ?

hee It's from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. When the knights are trying to storm the French castle, one of the guys gives the order "fetchez la vache!", and then a cow comes flying over the castle wall at the knights.

Thanks VuNic ! Cool pour le francais !
So I simply used
std::vector <fstream> vStreams.
and a loop with
vStreams.push_back(fstream());
to initialize all of them.

I am using Windows XP, Microsoft Visual Studio 2003 .NET, with MFC. I am working on an application that compresses itself into an XML file or can be saved in the XML format. When it is compressed, it shows additional information I added into the tooltip, which shows when the operator puts the mouse over the file. I am trying to add information to the file's tooltip when it is saved as an XML document as well. However, the tooltip only displays the document's type, date, and size. Do you know how to make an XML file ("filename.xml") show additional information in the tooltip when the operator puts the mouse over the filename?

Look in the shell programming section, and look at Michael Dunn's tutorials. One explicitly deals with Tooltips / Popups.

Hi,
In my application i need to edit the string table during run time, is there any way to do this. Again i need to do this edit in such a manner that the application will load the strings from a .txt /.xls file.
Thanx in advance.....

Start here. Use RT_STRING instead of RT_RCDATA .

It would help to specify all of your requirements in your initial post.

then, why reimporting them in your resources ?
why just not using those files (.txt/.xls) as external resources ?
