Whats the code to implement a BHO in VB.NET , I have the dll of the bho,and i tried this code,which returned a null reference exception,
imports something
public abc as something.IObjectWithSite
.........
abc.setSite(AxWebBrowser1)
Please help me out.

Well, you start with Google[^] and follow some of those results to some code samples in languages OTHER than VB.NET. Then you analyze those sample and rewrite the code in VB.NET. It's possible to do, but there are very few examples, if any, posted on the web. BHO's are more commonly written in C++ for a reason.

Can you imagine a company with multi-departments and each of them do the same job, WHAT A DISASTER  .... Can you imagine it now where each department do its own job only and coordinate with other departments effectively, efficiently and each one has a specific job to do, this is a Class

At its most basic, a class is a template for making objects.
(Like a mould makes castings, or a cookie cutter makes cookies)
It defines the properties and methods for that type of object
For example a class [Vehicle] might have a property for [FuelType]
Instances of that class can then be created (also known as "instanciated") with different values for the FuelType.

My office needs an application(in place of registers) to keep track of the day to day outgoing and incoming mails(letters). In regard to this the serial no must be generated automatically, which is quite okey but i wonder how can we make the serial no to start from 1 each year bcause every year the serail number gets restarted from 1. Please help me with any suggestion or codes.

Seems pretty easy. Store the date the last serial was created, and if the date is last year, reset to 1

i m not sure but wud u mind giving me somemore idea (in details) as to how to go about. actually i have that date field in my database but the problem is with the system time. we cannot guarantee that our system date can be right all the time; so, i cannot use the system date and time also. so, pls help me further

WEll, he could try and get it off the internet if he manages to find a way to get the date from a site like www.whattimeisit.com (looking in the source code maybe?)

Hi,
This is a logical process:
Get Year ->
First time or Same Year ->
YES: Get Last ID
NO: Start Over (ID 0)
Generate ID:
Incoming/Outging & Year & ID+1
Incoming: i07-0001
Outgoing: o07-0001
to control the date and time you can build a webservice or a .NET remoting component on the server that directly generate the ID and send it to the client. You must also think about the cancellation and correction

Hi,
I am on a project of creating handful VS 2005 addins and one of them is an in-built Font Previewer. Now i have done the basic jobs required to fill the list in an enhanced User Drawn Listbox and on SelectedIndexChange_Event i have updated the preview text.
The problem comes in when a Font doesnot support FontStyle.Regular
In this case i get an exception stating:
"Font 'Whatever be its name' doesnot support the FontStyle Regular."
So what can you guys suggest. Awaiting responses from all interested.
The project is a VB .NET one, but any CLR compliant version would do.

I have this situation :
I have created a dataset with wizard.The dataset has 2 tables :
Table 1 Table2
Col11 (Primary key) Col21 (Primary key)
Col12 Col22
Col13 Col23
The tables are related (Col11---Col22).
Now i want to display only those records in table 1 that have one (ore more) rows in Table 2 with col22 <=0)
How can i do this using only dataset ( not using SQL query in tableadapter)

You should be able to use the Select property to filter by col22<=0...

But i want to filter rows in Table 1 and the col22 columns is in table2
How to use select property in this case :
Me.dataset.Table1.select ( "Col22>=0" ) - This cause an error

what is the error? Make sure 'Col22' is there in your dataset's table 1.

The col22 is in dataset table2 not in table1.Table2 and table1 have a relationship.

Hi, I have problems with classes and arrays actually.
my code would be to long to post here so I set up a another project just to test my theory, and of course it doesn't work. the test code is:
form1 Class:

this code doesn't work; when i run the app a error pops out:
NullReference exception was unhandled
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I have tried using the new keyword : dim i as new test1.array
it immediatelly underlines the code saying array is not declared.
In my real project array is declared as a structure, and i fill this structure with SQL data reader results and i save the whole strcuture in a array.
but the problem is I cant access the array from another class!
Please help. Thanks in advance!

Your structure is inside the class
I'd imagine that:
Dim i As mainFunctions.fieldStructure = class.navArray(loopindex)
would work.

How you do that depends on the networking environment the machines are in.
If you're talking about any "client" machine on the Internet, you can't. You'll get the MAC address of the last hop that put the packet on your network.
If you're talking about a local area network, there are other issues that must be accounted for.
