hi,
I have an object called NewsItem which I'd like to return from my WebMethod GetNewsDetails. The object has got some properties (like LanguageID, Title and Text), some of which are readonly (like CreationDate). When I debug the project and look at my webmethod, the readonly properties are not mentioned in the soap-response-sample. Once I make them readwrite, it works fine (but kills my design).
Can it be done to have a read only property being serialized as well?

Hi,
My requiremnt is that I need to update my website with live update of events and alarms from a server. The events can go up to 250 numbers per second. Can anyone explain how it can be done ?
Can any system handle such a magnitude of events?

Hi friends
I have two doubts
1.I am using ajaxenabledwebsite in asp2.0 here howto give the connectionstring in webconfig and ajaxenabledwebsite webconfig is differnet to ordinary website webconfig.how can i do authentication and authorization in ajaxenabledwebsite webconfig
Is the any differnece between both webconfig.
2.i need a popup window on mouseover(it is work fine).
if i mouseout it will disappear(it is work fine)
problem is i unable enter the username,password in that popup window suddenly it will disappear.
how can i solvet that.

Dear saravanan basically no changes are there in web.config file for connection string and authentication.
I am sending the code for each one,It may help you.

i know how to show the confirmation box , if the user is intended to close the web page.
now the thing is , i want to execute the code on clicking the x button , after getting the confirmation box as yes.
the code should execute only after selecting yes (means afte confimation)

I don't think you can have transactions in email. However, if your server and all recipients are Exchange, you have a RECALL feature to selectively retrieve back the emails that are sent.

Is it possible to have more than one web.config file in an asp.net application? if yes, which one will the application refer to when the application is executed?
What is the use of having more than one web.config files in an application? i mean in which circumstances should we go for more than one web.config file?

A Web application can contain more than one Web.config file. The settings in a file apply to the directory in which it's located, and all child directories. Web.config files in child directories take precedence over the settings that are specified in parent directories.

hai ,
i need to findout the cityname using ipaddress...i got identify countryname using ipaddress through GeoIP webservice...But there no possibilty to findout the cityname....Any one know Is there any MSSQL database for citynames with related ipaddress ...This is urgent...
