SWP_DRAWFRAME can be specified in the ModifyStyle itself. So no need to call SetWindowPos explicitly. See the MSDN documention for more details. Smile | :)

I try to code a tiny Multimedia-App (which also uses DirectShow). For error handling, i need to know something about the capabilities of the desired Viewer (supported Audio- / Videocodecs). Any idea, how to get a list of installed codecs on the local machine? I dont know where to look :-|

Hints are very welcome :-|

I think you should be able to know installed software (i.e. codecs) through browsing in the registry. I can help you much more, bit if you look "registry" in the forum you will find a lot of interestan messages that maybe give you ideas.

Where can i find such o control Free or Commercial ?

Hello community,
i try to debug my project on dualcore machine, and if i set a breakpoint to watch the content
of my variables, for exemple CStrings, VS show only the first character??? Confused | :confused:

Example:
CString csFilePath = "C:\\foldername\\file.txt";

In watch window i can see only 'C', where is the rest of csFilePath????

You might be running the unicode version.

change the following option in msdev

tools->options->Debug tab->Tick "Display unicode strings".

I am using the the demo project from the below link. But facing the error.

The errors are as follow.
SimpleShlExt.h(22): error C2787: 'IContextMenu' : no GUID has been associated with this object
SimpleShlExt.h(22): error C2440: 'initializing' : cannot convert from 'DWORD_PTR' to 'const IID *'

And they Both appears to be on Location

Update files to iPod

I want to update media files to my iPod using my own program but not iTunes.
I had download the iTunes SDK. But if I do the task by my program using the SDK,I have to make iTunes running.But I must run iTunes,there would be no need to program by my self!
So,I want to know the iPod's database file format.
Someone would like to help me?

i want to load bitmap on control button, & whenever i move cursor on that button it highlight the button, & when i again leave cursor from button, it should not highlight the button

You have to create two bitmap resources for doing this. One is for normal state another for highlight state. On mouse over on the button you need to change the bitmap.
