I think that there is some problem while creating the application object and session object.

Application object is created for the application(only one) while session objects are created for ecah user separately, that keeps track of the user.

hi,

in the database..i have a field named username(in the table)..........

these values should be displayed in the textboxes(aspx page)......but i dont have the textboxes in aspx page(means i have not created statically)..but these textboxes should be created dynamically ....if the username has three fileds then 3 textboxes has to be generated with username values..

how can i do this ?

Use a Gridview/DataGrid , put a TemplateColumn and add a TextBox there. Bind Gridview/DataGrid with data from the table. It will give you 3 TextBoxes(depends on no of rows returned). Cool | :cool:

Well never tried coding it.

But yes..you can find something similar in AjaxToolkit.
Its PopUpControl. I guess its something similar you would like to have.

this is available in C# 3.0 Windows template but i think this is not available with you.
You will have to create your own control by rendering it.
Google the subject you can also find third party controls that you can use

Hi,

I have the below code in my code-behind file.

Currently only negative numbers having '-' sign.
How can i make positive numbers having '+' sign?

Hello friends,

I am new to asp.net and i m having problem while accessing the connectionstring in my test.aspx.cs file.

While if i write the same string on test.aspx.cs page the code is running succesfully.

On test.aspx.cs page i have written the following code to access my connection string.

SqlConnection con;
string str= ConfigurationSettings.AppSetting["Connectionstring"];
con=new SqlConnection(str);

this code is showing runtime exception that the connection string has not been properly initialized.

Plzzzzz help me.......... Smile | :)

This looks fine. Have you checked the spelling ? Try printing str and check what you are getting over there

there is no meaning of o or n.
bcoz it is just the name of variable that i have taken in the web.config like this..........

I want to implement treeview in my asp.net 1.0 web application. The data for that will come up from sql database. But in my installed .net version it is showing treeview tool in toolbox but disabled.

I have a table in Master file like this;

Problem: I want to change row3 height dynamically. How? For example; Row1 height is 10 and Row2 height is 10 so total 20px. If ContentPlaceHolder height is 100 so Row3 hight must be 80px. How can I do?

First of all, you'd do well to make your code XHTL. This means putting quotes on all your attributes. Better yet, use css instead. If you make your values reference code behind varables, then they can be calculated.

I am new to asp.net and C# and I just want to know what application servers are out there. I know there is IIS but are there any others. Also how much does IIS cost? or is free?

The most important tool you have for learning new languages is google.

There are other servers, but I'm not sure which ones work with ASP.NET. IIS is built into higher versions of Vista and XP. I don't believe it's possible to buy it.

Yes Google has been a big help for me throughout the years.

So IIS is an application server that is built into XP, Vista, and Win Server? I was just wondering if there was a price because i am trying to add up my production costs.

Correct. Not in XP Home and not in some of the lower end Vistas, but it's built in the XP Pro and the higher Vista's. It's with Windows Server, for sure.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
