Hai all,

i have one grid view ,and in that i display all the employee list of perticular departement ,and for perticular employee attendance i have maintain 7 columns for day1,day2,day3......
if i want to select the radio buttonlist for attendance,
then what could i do,
send me some sample code with explanation

hai ,

my Requirement is maintaining attendance of a employee.
in my gridview i have employeename and one perticular week days as columns.
in every column of days ,i have radiobuttin list 1.present 2. half day 3. Abscent

in that if perticular employee is not attended the office ,then half day radio button should be checked and that perticular data should be saved in \DB

Ok now

Take one Button control out side of gridview.On click of button,looping through gridview rows ,find out EmployeeId and attandance value from the radiobuttonList and insert data in the DB.

for example
on click of button

foreach(GridViewRow gRows in GridView1.Rows)
{
   int EmpId=int.Parse(((Lable)gRows.FindContrl("EmpId")).Text);
   int AttandaceVal=int.Parse(((RadioButtonList)gRows.FindControl("rBtn")).SelectedItem.Value);
   //Now you have one EmpId and its Attandance Value
   // Insert Data Into DB
}

I guess .NET Framework doesnot have a built-in Chart Component. You need to use some third party component .NET Charting[^] or Dundas Chart[^]. You can either try .NET crystal Report which has a Chart Control in it.

No. your company has to purchase the full version of the component from them. If you want check those components, You can download the Demo Version(dll) and the Sample .NET code from the Website and check whether it suit's your requirement. I have worked on .NET Charting Tool. It's really excellant and powerful.

Dear John !!
Im going to ask you a very stupid and simple question, please give me your valuable instructions...

dbo.Books is PK table
dbo.Category is PK table
dbo.BooksCategory is FK table

now im going to add a book into dbo.Books table. I got bookID=1001 and CategoryID=101.

my question is when should I insert data into dbo.BooksCategory table

1. insert data into dbo.books then dbo.bookscategory
2. insert data into dbo.bookscategory then dbo.books

is their anything i can do on my sql server 2005 database or i have to write a function to insert data into dbo.bookscategory from asp.net

waiting for a good instructions not like learn the basics

You don't need to have a BooksCategory table. simplify it. Add a Foreign Key Column to the Books Table which will hold the CategoryID info.

Note: You have posted a SQL question in the ASP.NET forum.

A simple way to test this would be to try and do it the other way around, you'll find it doesn't work. Note the word try here...

This code is not working like as "With" for VB

can any one tell me how to use 'Using' in C#?

With and Using are two different things. When using 'using' the object created is disposed of when complete, and exists only for the duration of the statement. With is just a shortcut to save you typing the name of the object multiple times but has no other functionality.

it works well but problem is i want to search it as single phrase.but it search like multiple words.
its my query .
