Are you putting you click event in the onClientClick attribute? Onclick in an asp:button is a server side event.

i used the Onclick event.. i tried to add it as Button1.Attributes.Add()

When you say it doesn't work, what actually happens?

When I use an ASP:Button control, the following happens:
1. Page Postsback
2. The DIV becomes invisible for a second and when the page completes postback, it again appears (visible).
Correct me if I'm wrong, asp:Button is a server side control, INPUT Button is a HTML client side control, right?
Is there another difference?

Yes, essentially. But also no - both can postback to the server, or perform on the client as you need.
The onClientClick event on the server button will run some client code and then postback to the server, UNLESS the client code returns a false value. e.g.
function myJSFunction()
{
//Do something
return false;
}
ASP button client click event:
"return myJSFunction();"
Will not postback.
The reason that your div keeps coming back, is that the page is reloaded every postback.

i have developed a web application and use the word object in program.
my machine have MS-word installed on it.
but server don't have word installed.
if the program is run from my local site then it doesn't show any error.
if i make a virtual directory and put it in server and run from there then it show the error of COM.
do my server have word installed ???
where i am wrong???
please help me.

Obviously, you'll need to install MS Word on your server.

Hi all,
I designed and developed one website in VS2005 and its working fine in IE but when i checked the same thing in Mozilla the alignment was totally gone!! and i used the css for desiging. can any body help me out solve this problem!!

Are u using px unit for the length or somthing else
IF yes
Then Use % (percentage) unit rather than px
And make your css more compitable with cross browser

HI
This is going to be a same problem for all f us.
But We can make sure while designing the page,ot to us table anywhere in page.
Just Use DIV tags wherever u need a table.
Some attributes are never going to be supported in Mozzilla which are supported by IE Like Valign="Basline"
And yes use only Percentage where u want to give hight & width.
Use CSS instead inline attributes...

I am using vb with asp.net.In my form i used two text boxes and a button.When i press a button the values in the text boxes saved in database.When i press print button i want to print all values in the data base.For this which control i want to use.Is crystal report is possible for this.

In ASP.NET, you're not going to do any moving of files and folders at all, unless you need to do this on the server for some reason ?

Hi using triggers i try to insert some values in to my 2 tables:
But its showing teh error as "The request for procedure 'Triginsert123s' failed because 'Triginsert123s' is a trigger object."
This is my code in back end:

Your problem appears to be that you don't understand triggers. The idea is that you never call a trigger, it gets called all by itself when you perform an action such as an insert. Doing two inserts like this doesn't seem like a logical thing for a trigger to do, unless it's generating an audit trail or something.

hi,
anybody know about the javascript for dynamic table.ie it accept text,image at runtime also we can span & split the cells...simply it look like a table in VS.net 2005 table(Layout->insert table).
