Then you should have been more specific. For all we know, you were trying to record stuff from Messenger in an IM session.

No, AFAIK, there isn't a way to do it directly. You'd have to write your app to record the sound just like you were recording from a microphone.

I'm trying to fill in a text box then hit the submit button using httpwebrequest.

Here is a sample using googles home page(just because everyone can use it). I just cant seem to get it to work. Thanks for the help.

No, there is no built in way to do it. What you can do, however, is this: You can get the location of the cell where you would like the combobox, or whatever. You have the location, then dynamically create the control, and set the location to inside the cell that you want it to be in. Then, handle the scroll event of the datagrid, and then get the location of the cell again, and then move the control that you created.

Its pretty easy, you can just use the ItemTemplate property. Here's an example:

</columns>

To access in code behind, you can use the FindControl method on a datagrid row or cell.

SendKeys Oddity???

I have a small program to monitor a sensor, detect an error state (sensor value goes over a setpoint), then change focus to a running application and send the {END} key to stop acquisition (before bad things happen!). I am using this code which seems to work fine...:

This works perfectly "the first time." So if I reset the my C# application (to start monitoring again) and restart a run on the PeakSimple program, when triggered, the method call will set focus to PeakSimple, but won't send the {END} key anymore? If I shut down my C# app, then re-run it, the method call will work???? I added the SendKeys.Flush() command, thinking perhaps it would "clean up" any reference to previous key sends, but it doesn't help. I tried to Invalidate() the form, again to no avail.... I can't figure what "state" needs to be flushed, reset or invalidated to make the SendKeys.X command work a second time within a running C# app? I tried just doing a SendKeys.Send("{END}") instead of the SendWait which works, but also only the first time (I have to restart the app to get it to work "again"). If I set breakpoints, it goes through the code and performs the SendKeys.SendWiat or .Send method, but it doesn't actually "send" the key-stroke on subsequent calls to the method??? I must be missing something, but I can't find anything in my searching that explains this behavior??? Any help appreciated...

Hi, I have 1 TextBox with the follwing properties:

tbx1.MultiLine = true;<br />

and an other one like this

tbx2.MultiLine = false;<br />

Why, on the screen, tbx1 has an indentation of one space? I don't like to see the texts not aligned. Does some body have any idea?

Here is the string

and here is what I can see in the tbx1

But if I set the properties of tbx2 like tbx1, I have the same indentation... the question is: why when I have a multiline textbox I have this indentation?

Is your text align set to Center or Right? If so, change it to left. I simply don't see any other way they could be different. In the designer I typed the same thing in two textboxes (one single-line and one multi-line) and the text lined up just fine. If the fonts are the same, they should line up. Any additional info you can give may help.

I am not sure, as I am not in front of a machine where I can check that. But, I'm guessing it's either YourUploadControlTextBox.Text, YourUploadControlTextBox.FilePath, or YourUploadControlTextBox.Path. Try those, one should work Smile | :)

You could always look on MSDN and look up the control. They wil have a list of all members, properties, etc to do with the control. The FilePath property, or something like it should be on there.

No, the thing is that how I will get the IDs of the controls in Submit button click, I am loosing the IDs as the controls are dynamic, not using AJAX.

I don't know about WebForms but in WinForms you have a Controls property so you could loop through it like:

foreach (FileUploadControl item in this.Controls)
{
  // Do what you want with the control:
  this.Text = item.ID;
}

I think there's something similar in WebForms. It'd be easier to give you a working example if you explained a bit more thoroughly what you're trying to accomplish (with a bit of context perhaps).

N.B. how to display all the feild and how to control each feild alone?

Hi,
A quick question on using events in c#. I have a groupbox on a winform. In that groupbox are a number of textboxes, buttons etc. In order to keep the screen clean, when the mouse is not in the groupbox, some of the buttons are hidden. I use the mouseEnter and mouseLeave events to trigger this. The problem I have is that when a button appears and I click on it, it doesn't trigger the Click event.

If I disable the hiding/making visible events then it all works fine.

Any ideas?

Can you show the code that is hiding/showing the buttons?
There should be also some code to hook up the click events, if you reattach the click event after showing the button it all should work fine Smile | :)

Hi Willem,

In the designer script, I have the following events defined for the groupbox:

this.Conduit_Info_Group.MouseLeave += new System.EventHandler(this.Conduit_Info_Group_Exit);
this.Conduit_Info_Group.MouseEnter += new System.EventHandler(this.Conduit_Info_Group_Enter);

For the specific button, here is the defined event:
this.Conduit_AuthorisedAmount_Graph.Click += new System.EventHandler this.Conduit_AuthorisedAmount_Graph_Click);

Here are the above 3 methods:

private void Conduit_Info_Group_Enter(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
this.Conduit_AuthorisedAmount_Graph.Visible = true;
}
private void Conduit_Info_Group_Exit(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
this.Conduit_AuthorisedAmount_Graph.Visible = false;

I have also tried changing the enter and exit events as follows:

In other words, I've reattached the event after showing the button and removed the event after hiding it, but it doesn't make a difference.
Another thing I've tried is removing the event MouseEnter once I've entered the groupbox and reattaching it after I leave. My thinking was that MouseEnter events were swamping the message queue and my button press event was getting lost, but still it wouldn't work!

Some days, VB6 just seems much simpler WTF | :WTF:
