Here is the explaination what I do...
I take dinner on time..
I inform my family about it very first...
I also look for any team member with me to stay at late night....
I can say all the activities goes normal for me...
just one change The Night I spend in ofice not at home..
I guess there is no need to neglect.. just take as usual break in your work and stay in office , keep woring continously...
why to avoide coffee , tea ,lunch, dinner.. bath, brush etc..
just get back to your work again..

...for me is, management starts having more status meetings to find out what the problems are.
By then I start reporting in my status report and status meetings that I'm not working on any problems becasue I'm always in status meetings.
By the time we get to 3 status meetings a day they (Management) can't figure out why nothing is getting done.

Sounds so familar, don't forget the looking for a scapegoat meeting, that usually occurs after the failed deadline. It's all bullshit and the management shouldn't have deadlines, the software is done when it's done, hope all managers are watching this

Around here, I start looking for a scapegoat when we get to the daily status meetings. Plus, I start doing as much as I can by e-mail (rather than face to face) to keep a paper trail in case someone is looking at me as a scapegoat.

I don't mind the deadlines as long as I have some control over schedule, requirements, and I know the deadline can be extended if someone else is late getting me stuff, etc.
Saying that, around here, I haven't seen anything except the usual arbitrary management deadlines, the last minute changing of requirements, the late inputs, etc.

Actually, I don't think so.
Consider: A trend is calculated from the full universe of points. It is, idealistically, a best-fit to the data. If one can pick any subset of the data, one can clearly select (in the general case) a subset of out-layers that will indicate a completely different trend.
Your scenario would only be true in the case of perfect data. I don't think one can (or should) properly call a perfect data fits a trend.
Or am I mistaken?

I use that as my sig to ridicule fat_boy, a sceptic (that's putting it mildly) of global warming. He was essentially arguing that since some parts of the world are cooler, it cannot be 'global' warming and came up with this gem. Needless to say, he got pilloried, and to this day, I have it as my sig.

Thanks - that's possibly first comment I've ever gotten relating to the site. It is my hope to one day become as famous as Yogi Berra for quotes!
Seriously, I try to foster sharing amongst the programmers - discuss, teach, etc. It took a long time, but has had some effect. You never know how someone has been burned in the past and thus remains fearful of sharing their source code (even though it's my job to be the backup!) and creates 40 pages of jibberish that are supposed to be documentation. Unfortunately, I may get a (figurative) broomstick up my ass if I ever have to really modify his code (if I can even find it).
Nonetheless -
I will wait the extra 2 or 3 seconds and hold the door for someone. Most do thank you. It's not a long time, although at first it seems so. Eventually it will sink in to a few that trying to do that little more for one another saves us all some work - and might even cause us to dislike each other a bit less. (I'm an optimistic cynic, so I need to express things in a convoluted manner). If you don't already do so, try the holding-the-door thing, try it for a while. With a bit of luck, it could become a habbit.
There's a piece of literature (ritual from Freemasonry) whose application was clearly intended to be extend to all persons: "G-d did not bring us into being to live in the narrow groove of selfish individualism, but to be as brethren, one to another, in mutual dependence and support."
In the meantime, I'm still wrestling with my only New Years Resolution, which is to break my New Years Resolution.
