Password on a file?? Nope. This is stuff you only see in the movies. NTFS does not support passwords on individual files and folders. AFAIK, there isn't a single O/S filesystem out there that does.

Yeah, that kind of happens when you're sitting up all night with the new munchkin because he doesn't want to sleep at all. There's really nothing on at 3:00am except what NetFlix sends you. I've watched more movies in the last 2 weeks than I have in the last 2 years.

my client has more 10 pc & he wants to connect all the pcs to his pc.usign LAN and Internet Connections.
Is it Posible?

Using an internet connection, he needs to set up a VPN, then he'll be doing it the same as on a LAN.

The code would be the same as with any other LAN connection to an SQL Server. Just adding "through the internet" to the requirements doesn't change the code.
Also, noone is their right mind would expose an SQL server directly to the internet. You ALWAYS put it behind firewalls and VPN tunnels for security reasons. An much greater understanding of networking is required to solve this problem, not code.

Hello every one
I am working on a VB 2005 Express application
Is there any tool by which i can do the analysis of my code / application so that i can find out which part of the code is taking how much time for execution and other type of code analysis
I had used Microsoft FxCop... but it dose not provides analysis at runtime... It just tell which part of the code is in accordance with MS standard and some other tings...

Your looking for a code profiler. All you have to do is Google for ".NET code profiler" to find a bunch of them. I hear CompuWare's got a pretty good one and so Red Gate with its ANTS Profiler.

No - you can launch PDFs on a machine with Acrobat installed, but if you want to manipulate PDFs, you need to buy a library.

How is a orinter driver different from a DLL or an exe and how is it listed in the printer dialog?
my basic aim is to get the programm listed as a printer to which we will send the document to print. Upon recieving the document programm will decide to which physcial printer to send for print.

You can't do this without writing an actual printer driver that will be the interface (look like) a printer to Windows and do the translating between the Windows printing subsystem and your .EXE. You can't write a driver in VB.NET. It has to be done in C++. I suggest Googling for "Windows DDK". Writing drivers is an VERY advanced topic. One that, because you even asked this question, leads me to believe that it's currently beyond your abilities.

Once you have done extending controls by inheritance (e.g. adding validation for textboxes)
How do you deploy it as part of your VB 2005 IDE? The reason being we want to share the components to other team members.
I can't seem to find deployment how to's for controls...

They need to use the same dlls in their projects, you don't deploy to the IDE, but to a project.
You may be able to put them in the GAC, I guess...
