I got a winform which is displayed in browser...the a.exe file has a config file which has a key to choose between production and dev databases. I created the iexplore.exe.config file with the required config file keys and kept in the root folder(c:/inetpub/wwwroot/)...when i run the a.exe file in browser its not reading the iexplore.exe.config file at all ....could any 1 please help me...
a.exe (.net2.0 app) working in IE6 in win 2003 server

I am trying to print a GridView. Everything is fine for, say, 5 records.
But when the number of records makes the grid view longer than the page then the trouble starts. It will still try and print the correct number of pages (in the case of 50 records, 2 pages), but all pages are blank except for when the first - where about 25 records will be displayed. It truncates the rest of the records.
This happens in both FF and IE.
Does anyone have any ideas?

The real problem was due to this construction:
<br />
<asp:Panel ... ><br />
<asp:GridView ...><br />
...<br />
</asp:GridView><br />
</asp:Panel><br />
The properties that were causing problems were in the Panel: overflow and scrollbars.
Settting overflow to visible and scrollbars to none fixed my problems.

I created new user by membership.
when user type the wrong password too many, this user will locked.
I want to ask user to Unlock through submit PasswordAnswer for PasswordQuestion.
But I can't validate the PasswordAnswer was submited.
How to do ?

What do you mean?
Do you mean that they can enter any password and it accepts it or if you enter the correct password it doesnt accept it?

And PasswordAnswer is encrypted.
How can I provide this wizard for unlock account.

I don't really understand your question, but maybe this is the answer you are looking for:
Hook into the OnAuthenticate Event:
protected void login_Authenticate(object sender, AuthenticateEventArgs e)
from this method you can tell if the user was successful in authenticating.
ie.
e.Authenticated

Hi i have one multiline textbox onmy form...,
I restrict that cant enter more than 300 characters using javascript:
Its in onkeeppressevent of textbox...,
function discriptionLength()

if (document.all('txtDiscription').value.length >= 300)

alert('Description cant be more than 300 characters');
return false;
}
return true;
}
Its working cool when user enter data...,
But if i copy some text from some where and paste it on that textbox that time its not at all checking that javascript validation part...,
how to solve the probs?

TextBox has one property named MaxLength. You can set MaxLength=300.
OR
You can also check your javascript when Button event call.

No need to write code to remove toolbar as well as menubar.
just use this script to open popup window
window.open('PageName.aspx','title','width=500,height=500','');

Hi All,
Is there any way to set multiple target controls for a single AJAX Extender!?
I know there is no direct way to do this, as far as my knowledge says, but can we accomplish this using scripting lang. like javascript!!?
Why I want to know this -
I'm required to implement Calendar Extender to display date. I have to get the day, month and year in three different textboxes. Can I bind these three as target controls to the Calendar Extender!!!
I'm trying to solve this from my end too ... will update if I arrive at a solution.
Any suggestions and/or help would be greatly appreciated.
