The forums have been doing this a lot today, especially between 10AM and 2PM (UK time).

If you've en watching the session count you might have noticed load has jumped fairly dramatically (20% - 30% in the last couple of weeks). This is the reason.
We have ordered a new box of newer, faster, better, stronger hampsters - they should be arriving next week. We'll also then be able to turn on our SQL farm which will be very excitement.

I can always loan you a hamster. OK, ours likes to run on the outside of the wheel (jammed up against the cage) getting its little hamster jollies, but boy can it run.

Actually, I had very little trouble last Tuesday; that message only showed for article message forums.
But I just came over here now because I got it in the C# forum. The Lounge was OK.

As a foreign developer who wants to work overseas,
I pay attention to every job postings here.
Of course I know there's little job opportunity
that I can get Visa sponsor, but if I can figure out
a certain job is 'Visa supported' then it will be
very helpful. [Smile]
You know, I see a job which seems to fit with my
career experiences and skill level, then I read the
job qualifications and... find out there's no mention whether
I also can apply or not... It's somewhat frustrating.
I know CodeProject is not a Job site, but to most of us
the Job postings in here is much trustworthy then others
in job specific sites.
So, what I am suggesting is,
I think you can provide a 'Category' or option for
specifying whether a new job is 'Visa supported or not'...
What do you think? [Wink]

'Vis supported' means "The company will sponsor a visa application for you"?

So, what happened to my years and years of bookmarks stored here? They are all gone. Even the ones that I just put there a few days ago.
Not sure WHEN it happened as it has been a while since I last accessed them.

As far as I can see your hundreds (wow) of bookmarks are still there.
Suggestions on how to make them more manageable for you would be good.

Hmmm, now I can see them... I was getting an error yesterday that the site could not find any data for me...
Strange...
As far as suggestions go, it might be good to allow us to build a small tree or set fo groups to categorize them at some point... But then we could just use our own favorites list in IE to do that and save you all the work

Interesting.
It looks like ASP.NET is automatically deciding that your phone can only handle WAP/WML. Is this the case?

I don't know the answer to that question. I know that in general the phone can browse the internet fine but has trouble with the CodeProject. The sites I mainly use on it are Google, Wikipedia and so on.

All sites or just certain sites? Does it show sites the same as they appear in a normal browser or do you see a stripped down, mobile version?
Methinks I'll have to do some surgery on the .browser files.

Job Board:
Would it be possible to setup email alerts if a job is posted in the vicinity of a zipcode or state. Ex: I live in Michigan, US and I would like to be notified of job postings in my area or state. This could be a voluntary program that is set in the 'My Settings', and I believe it would a desirable feature of people posting jobs on this site.
General Site Suggestion:
On the homepage of CodeProject their is a list of 3-4 forums on the right-hand side of the site. Would it be possible to have customizable to other forums. The forums that I most dwell in are VB, C#, .NET, Windows Forms, etc, and I would not mind having those appear on the homepage. The ones listed their now do, at times, have a catchy title, but for the most part I do not visit those forums.
