simply add one more column in DataGrid with checkbox control. and check all rows which you want to update and place Edit button in footer with command name "edit" .... and write the following code

Hi all,
I am trying to sort Gridview in GridView1.Sorting(...) event using
method GridView1.Sort(e.SortExpression, SortDirection.Desceding)
But it raises an unhandled VisualDebugging Exception when i run my project. After i click on the Column header i getting 'System.StackOverflowException .
I am using LinqDataSource, but that i am binding at runtime to Gridview.
Please help me, i to use that method.

hi
i need help in datagrid can any one help me its urgent
i have a datagrid with thre editable dropdowns those are for hour min and AM/pM.
out of datagrid iam harcoding those listitems.<as:listitem xmlns:as="#unknown">1 and so on.....
inside the datagrid when i click edit iam able to get listitems and dropdowns,but not the item of dropdown is selected which is in datagrid before edit is clicked.
Note:these listitems are not fetched from database
i think iam clear.
Help me out

There's a drop down inside the datagrid when it's not in edit mode ? I am not sure that you can get that value, what's the point of that ?

I am using tables in a masterpage to set my general layout.
The problem I have is that when I set the length of the rows to 80% in IE it looks fine but in FF they are very short.
Why would this be?
Is there a problem with narrowing tables in FF?

IE and FF do not play the same. You need to find CSS that works with both, or detect your browser and change it accordingly.

This has nothing to do with ASP.NET. And, you can't, at least not using anything built in. You need to write code, such as a service, that watches the time and sends it when you want it sent.

I love it when I tell people something and they ignore me.
If you put the code in your page load, then it will send right away. There is no way round this, you need to find a way to queue the mail outside your page. This code will not send code on any day except the date given, it plainly won't wait to send it on that day.

I have a listbox with multiple selection of languages.
My list box contains 6 list items with "All, German, English, Seriban, Spanish, French". when I select German and English or any other language the list item "All" should not be selected (either it has to be grayed out or should not be selected, if the user tries to select). But now I could be anble to select the listitem "All" when I select other languaaes.
Could any one tell me how to do this!

hi every one
actually i have a usercontrol in which i have 4 testbox and one file upload control .
now i have a dropdownbox at page 1 .when a user select any value as 1, 2, 3 from dropdownbox according to this value at page 2 usercontrols created as if select 3 then 3 pairs of textboxes and fileupload ganerate.
and then user can submit his details and image .at page 2 and at page 3 all the data of page 1 page 2 i want to show at page 3.
so plz tell me how to save the image at page 2 save in a folder sothat i can retrive it at page 3.

I'm not sure I understand the issue. You save the file by saving it. The issue is, how do you track which user it belongs to ( perhaps use the session Id as a filename ? )

Hello everybody,
Again an open question. If you use resource files, for example for localizing your app, what structure do you use? In a website there a multiple types of texts, labels near input fields, page titles, error messages, button texts, explanatory texts etc etc.
Do you have a subdivision in your resource files, ie: labels.resx, titles.resx etc, or do you put all the strings into one big resource file?
Is there a difference in performance between the two different structures?
Like to hear your ideas.
