Humm
Are you using a specific control to display your text?
I recently read a C# book : "Dissecting a C# application"
in this book the authors are dissecting all parts of SharpDevelop application (C# editor), they created an editor from the scratch.
You can check-it it might be helpful.

I wholeheartedly agree

Nevertheless, a limitation is a limitation. :P

I think he meant a multiline control that will take >10000 characters total At leat I hope so!
The character limit for a RTB is 2147483647 (Int32.MaxValue).

I have a struct that holds two longs (Low and High). This struct is used as a property (FullRange) in a user control(RangeControl) which I've dropped on a form. The values are not being serialized in the InitializeComponent in the form's designer.cs file so are therefore not persisted.
I expected to see something like
this.rangeControl1.FullRange = new Range((long)1, (long)50);
If I change the struct to a class it creates a variable for the property in the InitializeComponent and saves the values.
range1.High = ((long)(50));
range1.Low = ((long)(1));
this.rangeControl1.FullRange = range1;
How can I get the struct to persist?

7 hours later and solved it - I had a problem with my CreateInstance override so the designer wasn't able to call the contructor to be able to do the serialization. It's unbeleivable just how tricky this was to do!
Credit to the code in this[^] article which I used for comparison to my code to trace the problem.

Don't use words like urgent. That is a sign of just ignoring your request for help. As the other poster mentioned, this reeks like homework. Do your own work.

Hi,
I was trying to connect Action Remedy System Database(Application developed by BMC software) using C#. It throws the below exception
ERROR [S00] Driver]Cannot open catalog; Message number = 90
ERROR [IM006] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed
ERROR [01000] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver doesn't support the version of ODBC behavior that the application requested (see SQLSetEnvAttr).
Code for connection is as follows:
OdbcConnection odbcConnection = new OdbcConnection();
odbcConnection.ConnectionString = "Driver={AR System ODBC Driver};arserver=servername;arserverport=serverport;uid=userID;aruseunderscores=1;server=NotTheServer";
try
{
odbcConnection.Open();
Console.WriteLine("Connection to database established");
}
catch (Exception exp)
{
Console.WriteLine(string.Format("Connection to database failed \n Error: {0}", exp.Message));
}
Console.ReadLine();
Kindly help to overcome this issue.
Thanks in advance.
